With high summer and holiday season fast approaching my mind has been on relaxed summer event dressing. I may be in the English countryside but that doesn’t stop my imagination from being influenced by thoughts of balmy nights and warm azure seas.  Perhaps it’s spurred on by the soon to be released Odyssey film but my inspiration is  Helen of Troy and thoughts of Ancient Greece.

I’m thinking long flowing dresses that wrap and float with drama. Paired with sandals and gold accessories that combines the perfect amount of simple, relaxed glamour that jigsaw does so well. Which is your favourite?

Happy Anniversary to us !
36 years of knowing you, 34 years together and 27 years of marriage today! You still make me belly laugh after all these years and you’re still the only person that I’ll ever dance the robot with. 🤖😂 Love you always. ❤️xx

AD/ I’ve been using the  Rénergie Collagen Lift-Xtend cream for a while now and my skin has been absolutely loving it.  I always think that the best testament to a good product is how often you repeat buy and judging by my empty jars, I know that this will remain a much repeated staple in my beauty routine.  The other measure is word of mouth – it is now back in stock on http://Lancome.co.uk But also, actress Joanna Lumley has been seen using it and if it’s good enough for Joanna, then that’s an absolutely fabulous recommendation for me!

Happy 25th Birthday to my first born baby! My joy, my heart, my 4lb premature tiny tot. He came out scraggly and covered in downy fuzz but all I saw was perfection and that’s all I’ve seen since! Love you to the moon and back. You make me and feel so incredibly proud to be your parents and I know that Grandma and Poppa will be smiling down feeling proud of you too! 🥹🙏🏾🥂🎉🎁😘###

Happy Sunny Day! (A little behind the scenes fun!)🌞🌸💕✨

This is where I’ve spent most of the day with my ‘velcro’ dog by my side. She’s sprained her shoulder and I’m trying to teach her that to sit still with a good book, a scented candle, a couple of chews or a nice cup of tea (depending on your preference..😂) is all she needs in lieu of ball play for a few days. Thankfully, her favourite place to be right now is on my lap, so half the battle is won! 😅Happy Thursday!

A quick Chelsea Flower Show overview. When you’re in the moment you really want to take in the glorious gardens as well as the meaning behind each of them, so I wasn’t able to capture as much as I wanted on my phone in a greedy attempt to soak it all in with my actual eyes!
Needless to say it was truly glorious. I had the pleasure of interviewing and speaking to many of the garden designers themselves and the ‘village’ that it takes to create them on behalf of .giving.back which was set up during the pandemic to give charitable organisations in the UK the chance to exhibit a show garden at the RHS Chelsea Flower Show, to promote their cause while supporting the horticultural industry. Each of their 63 gardens over the past 6 years has been (or will be incl. 2026) relocated to permanent community locations such as hospitals, schools and nature reserves to ensure that their impact lives on beyond the show. Did you attend this year? What was your favourite? 💕🌸

(Ad/press trip) Gardening talk with and in the walled garden of (South Downs one) must qualify as THE most perfect ingredients for a very British Barbour Summer! It rained hard, it shone hard and we partied harder (thankful that my Achilles tendon behaved as I attempted a middle aged jig combined with a rave stomp to keep up with the young’uns!! 😂) I also received some straight talking, stoical advice from Monty about my box caterpillar problem… basically use it as a good excuse to do something new and interesting and don’t get my knickers in a twist trying to defeat it every year!
A fabulous 24 hours! 💚🌱🌳🐛

(ad/pr invite) The most divinely nostalgic day spent on the It’s been on my bucket list for years and today I finally got to experience the sort of coastal train journey that Agatha Christie might have taken in the roaring twenties. (I’m a cosy crime writer - hence the Christie reference - and if you like cosy crime, the link to my books is in my bio!😉) We took ‘The Golden Age Of Travel’ route through the Kent countryside and the weather, the surroundings, the food AND the hospitality couldn’t have been more perfect! Happy to say that there were no suspicious circumstances involving Poirot style detectives either! Happy Saturday! ❤️
