One of those jobs that reminds you why pricing can be tricky. 🤔

Quoted a ceiling as a two day job. Started pulling the board down and surprise surprise, full lath and plaster ceiling underneath. Absolutely soaked through as well, so you can imagine the weight and the mess that came with it. 😷

Still cracked on and got it finished in the two days as planned, even if it did mean not getting home until 9:30 Friday night.

It’s not about the easy jobs, it’s about seeing it through and getting it done on time.

Roll on Monday. 🫩

Removed a bathroom suit and an old stud wall. Put up a new stud wall and moved the plug socket and radiator. Boarded the ceiling and skimmed the room through out.

Skimmed a bathroom wall this afternoon. The paint had flaked in places, and with a combination of silk paint and the angle of sunlight shining down the wall, it didn't look good. The client wanted a freshly plastered surface to work with.

We can easily plaster over holes in walls. Once this wall is painted you'd never know it was as bad as it was.

Repaired to hole in the ceiling, Santa's getting clumsy in his old age. Also boarded over the recess of the chimney breast so the client had more wall space for kitchen units.

Before and after. I had to use 3 metre beads for the length of these reveals. 2.4 metre beads fell short.
