🌿 Recent Commercial Vegetation Clearance – DGM Growers, Holbeach 🌿

Our team has recently completed vegetation clearance works at DGM Growers in Holbeach, carefully cutting back overgrown vegetation around the car park and boundary fencing to prevent encroaching branches from affecting neighbouring gardens and to maintain a safe, tidy site.

As part of our commitment to environmental responsibility, all vegetation was thoroughly checked for active bird nests before any work commenced, ensuring no nesting birds were disturbed during the project. Protecting local wildlife while delivering high-quality work remains a priority for our team.

We’ve uploaded our second YouTube video 🎥🌿

This one showcases another busy week for the team, including emergency call-out work following the recent high winds, along with ongoing work for schools, local farms, and some of our regular returning customers.

The recent weather kept us extremely busy dealing with damaged and dangerous trees, fallen limbs, and making sites safe as quickly as possible. Alongside that, we’ve included footage from some of the other work we carry out day to day to give a more realistic insight into the variety of projects we undertake.

We’re trying to show more of the real side of the industry — not just the finished photos, but what’s actually involved on site, the challenges we face, the equipment used, and the teamwork required to get jobs completed safely and efficiently.

A little bit of recent work completed at the Bluebell Pub🍻

We were asked to help remove large amounts of ivy from the building to make way for upcoming re-cladding works, while also clearing and tidying areas around the beer garden to help make the outside space more presentable and welcoming.

Although this is a little different from our usual tree surgery work, we’re always happy to help our customers where we can. From vegetation clearance and site tidying to tree work and commercial grounds maintenance, we’re proud to offer a wide range of services across the local area.

🌳 Phased Tree Reduction – Preventing Heave Risk 🌳

On this project, we carried out a careful reduction of the tree, with a long-term plan for full removal.

Did you know… trees located within around 5 metres of a property can sometimes cause an issue called heave if they are removed all at once?

This property had a structural survey carried out, which recommended a phased approach rather than immediate full removal. When subsidence has been present, removing a tree too quickly can allow the ground to rehydrate and expand — potentially causing movement to the property.

By reducing the tree in stages (rather than removing it in one go), we can help minimise the risk of heave and protect the building.

This is something we regularly advise on — it’s not always about removing a tree as quickly as possible, it’s about doing it the right way, safely, and in line with best practice.

🌳 Silver Birch Removal – Holbeach St John 🌳

We were called out to this Silver Birch in Holbeach St John after it had unfortunately declined and dropped a limb onto the driveway, creating a clear safety risk.

After assessing the tree, we advised that pruning wasn’t the best option for this species or its condition. Silver Birches don’t always respond well to heavy reduction, especially when already in decline.

Instead, the safest and most responsible solution was to carry out a full removal — eliminating the risk to the property and surrounding area.

The tree has now been carefully dismantled and the site left safe and tidy for the client 👍

If you’ve got a tree showing signs of decline or recent damage, it’s always best to get it checked before it becomes a bigger issue.

🌲 Follow-Up Tree Removal – Making the Area Safe 🌲

Following on from our recent emergency callout where a large limb failed from this Leylandii, we returned to site to carry out the full removal of the remaining tree.

Due to its position overhanging multiple properties, it was important to ensure all surrounding areas were made completely safe — including the three neighbouring gardens affected.

Our team carefully dismantled the remaining tree in a controlled manner, reducing all risk and leaving the site secure for everyone involved.

Another job completed safely, professionally, and with full consideration for the surrounding properties.

🌲 Ceder Tree Removal – Holbeach 🌲

Here’s part of a recent removal we completed in Holbeach for a repeat client.

Before any work was carried out, we conducted thorough checks for nesting birds to ensure everything was done responsibly and in line with environmental guidelines.

The tree was unfortunately positioned within the planned new garden development, so a full removal was required to make way for the new outdoor space.

Another safe, compliant job completed and a great result for the client 👍
