There's an old saying that wood warms you 3 times: when you cut it, when you split it and when you burn it. Of course, that's a massive understatement as it's really about 10 times after you've moved it about from place to place, moved and disposed of the brash (small branches/twigs and green stuff) and then finally got it back to your place to split, stack and then burn it! But, love doing it😆😏. These pictures are of trees with later stage ash die-back. So when they are felled, they hit the ground and smash like glass. Makes clearing up a bit tedious...
