Communal veg growing and food appreciation initiative
Do you miss the childhood taste of pea pods straight from the plant? Do you love fresh veg, but don't have enough time to look after a garden by yourself? Do you enjoy gardening, but lack the physical strength to do it on your own? Do you have gardening knowledge that you would like to share? Do you have gardening tools, a waterbutt, a wheelba
rrow,
that you'd be happy to lend or donate? Maybe it's time to get involved in our Incredible Edible group this Summer! We are a group of Woking residents who are setting up a Community project in Woking. Our shared interest for sustainability and green topics brought us to the Green Drinks Woking, a meeting open for everybody that takes place every first Thursday of the month at the Nags Head Inn in Knaphill. The initiative "Incredible Edible" that popped up in over 50 communities all over the UK inspired us to try something similar here. We want to bring all ages together and grow veg on communal spaces throughout the village. Our hope is to provide a space for all kinds of different members from all walks of life.
