It’s all too easy to want to admire those pristine walls once they’ve been painted with that longed for expensive heritage paint but for me, after a while, walls can become ‘sad’ walls and it doesn’t take long for the maximalist clutter to take over…..embrace your ‘clutterist’. 😎🥰

Ranch vibes….
I’ve been working with a wonderful client from Texas recently, exploring how to keep the authenticity of their ranch but add contemporary twists and bring their beautiful artwork and collections front and centre. In the process of my research it got me thinking about the warm, dusty evocative westerns I used to watch as a child and I came across these beautiful mural walls which speak evocatively of to me of that vibe. I love them! (Product tags in pictures).

‘Beautiful-Ugly’…..yes it’s the design trend thats gathering popularity, or to be more accurate ‘Joilie-Laide’; the French art of appreciating imperfection. It’s all about those things that seen individually you consider to be ugly but thrown into an interior create an initial jarring sensation followed by an “ooo…that actually looks good”. It’s the unexpected, the whimsical, the playful.
