A garden we’re incredibly proud of. Designed and built by us here at Instant Scenery, completed back in May and already settling beautifully. 🌿

This week we returned to add some extra screening planting — one of the best parts of our work is seeing a garden evolve and mature exactly as intended.

From a blank new-build canvas, this has been transformed into a modern, structured and low-maintenance space, designed to bring enjoyment every single day. The care, attention to detail and craftsmanship shown by the team throughout this build was exceptional — from setting out and construction to planting and the finishing touches. A real credit to everyone involved.

As the clients said:

Big news for us at Instant Scenery 🌿

We’re excited to announce that we’re moving into a new home for the business at Kempsey Eco Park.

This is a huge step forward for the team and gives us the space to continue growing while creating some exciting new opportunities over the coming months.

Kempsey is home for some of our team, so it means a lot to put our roots down in the village. We’re proud to be contributing to the local economy and becoming part of a business park alongside other local businesses with strong roots in the area too.

From RHS show gardens and premium landscaping projects to high-end garden maintenance, we’re incredibly proud of how far the business has come since 2009 — and we’re really excited for this next chapter.

A massive thank you to our clients, suppliers, and team for the continued support, along with our previous landlords of 7 years and our new landlord — both local to the village and both hugely appreciated as part of this journey.

Most people go for a relaxing day out.
We go wandering round taking 147 photos of grasses, discussing leaf texture, and standing silently judging paving falls. 🤝

Always searching for fresh inspiration, planting combinations and new ideas while continuing our completely normal pursuit of horticultural perfection. 🌱✨

Safe to say the bar has now been raised again… and so has the plant wishlist. 😂

We had the pleasure of returning to one of our garden design and build projects last week to install a long 50m fence.

This was 100% timber fence using tongue and groove vertical panels on a gravel board. We also included two hedgehog gravel boards 🦔

As approved Jackson fencing installers we know the importance of quality installations and along with the 25 year guarantee this fence looks the part and will last.

We visited a client this morning to double check on a pond we installed a couple of weeks back. We will be returning next week to add some planting and aquatic plants

If your borders feel a bit all over the place, it’s usually the layout — not the plants.
We can take a look and point you in the right direction.
Before and after pictures

For this clients garden we’ve:
🌿pruned everything back
🌷moved plants to improve flow and structure
🥀reduced the height at the front so it feels more open and balanced

Next step is where it really comes together. We’ll be adding a mix of:
🌺Brunnera for soft texture and light
🪻Cottage-style geranium for reliable colour
🥀Hellebores for early interest
🎋Geum to lift the whole border with warm tones

All chosen to give structure, colour, and interest through the seasons — without making it high maintenance.

A simple tweak can make your wisteria flower better than ever. ✂

Here's a before and after shot this wisteria was pruned in February and look at the beauty now!

If your wisteria looks all leaves and no flowers, this is usually why.
A wisteria needs two prunes a year around February and August.

🌿 keeps it under control
🌿stops it taking over your entire garden

A well-managed wisteria should feel like a feature — not a problem.

If yours is getting out of hand or hasn’t flowered properly in years, it’s usually an easy fix when you know what you’re doing.

Really pleased to be back at this year. No big show garden build for us this time, but it’s great to still be involved in a smaller way.
