We had the pleasure of being asked back to work on these beautiful hedges today which were a mixture of Yew, Holly, Hawthorn and Buxus.
It has taken the customer years to grow them and they are a focal point of the beautiful cottage they surround.

A trim and shape today for this Yew hedge. To keep it's original shape we measured and used string lines on the top and side. We also cut underneath to make it stand out more as you entered the driveway.
We are back in a couple of weeks to finish the rest of the hedge.

Yew is our favourite hedge to cut!
The oldest Yew tree is in Scotland and is estimated to be up to 3000 years old!
All parts of the plant including the needles and seeds inside the berries are toxic. Ingesting about 50g of needles can be lethal to humans!
Avoid planting any Yew hedges where livestock and horses have access to it!
