Happy new year to all our followers!

Our New Year’s resolution is to be more active with our social media to keep all of our past and potential customers up to date with what we get up to!

This was our last project that we completed in 2025 and we thoroughly enjoyed it. Our lovely customers had been experiencing water ingress around one of their sky lights and noted that their extension was extremely cold.

The LFBD Roofing team got to work and stripped this roof back to the timbers, removed the sky lights, insulated accordingly, replaced the deck and then installed a 3 layer high performance mineral felt system.

This left the customer dry, warm and worry free for years to come. This resulted in a happy customer which our number one priority.

If you’re looking for any form of roofing work to be carried out then please don’t hesitate to get in touch for a free quotation.

Many thanks, The LFBD Roofing team! ⚫️🟡🔨

Good evening folks!

We’re starting the week off strong with a recent project we’ve finished in the durrington area.

This was a full re-roof, in which we reused the tiles and cleaned them all off in the process.

The existing horse hair felt had definitely seen better days! Our client had mentioned that the roof was a cause for concern on the survey, and we could certainly see why!

All in all, it was a brilliant project, which we enjoyed thoroughly.

As always, we were left with a very happy client, who has already recommended us to a variety of his friends!

Please feel free to get in touch for any kind of guidance, or even a free quotation, as we are always happy to provide our services.

We wish you all a lovely week!

A lovely way to round off a heavy week on the tools 💪🏻🔨

Here we have a lovely piece we finished off today for a new client in the west Worthing area.

The customer had an extension built on the back side of their home, and we were called in to install a flat roof.

We started by fixing the aris timbers either side, before tacking down the first layer of underlay. We then fixed the drips and the drip cards to the outer edges of the roof.

Following this, we primed up the drip cards and aris timbers using bitumen primer, and proceeded to let it go off.

We torched on the drips along the front edge, before laying the top layer of mineral felt up the entirety of the roof.

To finish, we torched the drips on either side over the top, and pinged straight chalk lines from top to bottom. We cut along these lines to give us a lovely straight finish!

Due this this property being in land, and not massively close to the sea, we only used a two layer system as this is what was asked. We do however, much prefer a three layer system, and given the choice we would’ve have done this!

A tidy job, start to finish!

Given that the weather is worsening day by day, please remember you can always contact us if you find yourself in a spot of bother! We’re always happy to help!

We hope you’ve all had a lovely weekend, and have managed to stay dry!

Till next time…

Good morning all!

Once again we’ve been completely swamped with work, so getting around to keeping our page up to date has been a bit of a task!

But we are still alive!

Here is our most recent piece of work, which entailed installing a velux window for a client in ferring.

We had to first decide where the window would look best in the ceiling, before cutting out the section it would be placed in.

We then had to make it structurally safe by doubling up the rafters either side and making a frame for it to sit in.

We then had to sit the window in the frame, fixing it with the metal braces it comes with.

Once this was done, we felt and battened around it making it water tight, before fitting the flashing kit.

All that was left to do after this was tile it back in, and it’s safe to say our client was over the moon with end product. They finally have an adequate amount of natural light in their bathroom!

A little bit of plastering on the inside and it will look brand new!

If you need any assistance yourself, or have any questions or queries, please don’t hesitate to contact us! While we are very busy, we are always happy to lend a helping hand!

Many thanks, and a happy Tuesday to everyone!

Hello everyone!

We here at LFBD Roofing hope that you’re all enjoying your weekend so far!

Due to our workload, we’ve slacked a lot lately, and have struggled to keep active on here, but we’re back with a lovely project we have just finished near southwick.

This was a very aesthetically pleasing piece, and included a lot of thought and working out to make it pristine.

We stripped off everything to the timber framework, and re-felt and battened it to begin with. We weathered around the two vents and the boiler flu, and proceeded to mark out the roof for our full tile finish.

The tenant had reported multiple leaks, and was very happy to hear that her problems will have finally subsided!

Don’t forget, should you need any assistance with anything roof related, you can always contact us on here, or via the mobile number attached to the page.

We are always happy to help!

Happy Friday everyone!

Here we have a recent full re-roof that we completed using a brown double pantile.

Our customer had been experiencing damp and had several leaks due to broken tiles and perished felt.

We started by removing the existing tiles and then stripping the old felt and batten. 5U was installed along the eaves and then breathable felt was used along with treated 25mm x 50mm battens.

A Grp bonding gutter was used to separate the new tiles from the old tiles on the property next door. We then marked and pinged vertical lines to eliminate any unnecessary cuts and to keep the tiling perfectly straight.

A dry ridge system was then mechanically fixed along with a dry universal verge system.

If you have any roofing issues or require any advice then please don’t hesitate to contact us!

This week we at LFBD Roofing have been busy with this large scale flat roof along with a smaller garage.

We love the finish produced by mineral torch on felt and believe that this is the best flat roof system for durability and its aesthetically pleasing finish.

If you require and advice or works on your flat or pitched roof then please don’t hesitate to contact us. ⚫️🟡

Another full plain tile re-roof completed this week using redland, brown granulated tiles and a dry verge and ridge system!

We stripped all of the existing tiles followed by the felt and batten. New breathable felt and batten was then installed and the roof was then gauged out to ensure there were no cuts.

Tiles were then bumped on to the roof and then laid with the perimeters and every third course being double nailed. Once complete the dry ridge system was mechanically fixed and the dry verge was nailed into place.

All rubbish was cleared from site and all wrapped up within the working week.

If you have any roofing enquiries then please contact us via messenger or mobile so the LFBD Roofing team can assist you! ⚫️🟡

Good evening!

Over the duration of 5 days the team carried out this full plain tile re-roof. We used universal dry verge and a dry ridge system along with valley tiles.

We started by stripping all the old tiles and failing felt and batten. Breathable felt was then installed with the battens being gauged out, pinged with a chalk line and then nailed.

Next we worked out the roof and pinged vertical lines on the battens so that there were no cuts and we had a full tile finish to get the best finish possible.

We then loaded the roof out and laid all tiles and cut the valleys in. Lastly we installed the dry verge and ridge which brings the roof together nicely.

We thoroughly enjoyed this project and have many detailed roofs lined up that we are looking forward to!

If you require any roofing works whether it’s a re-roof or roof repair to eliminate a leak from the poor weather of late, then please get in contact via messenger.

Many thanks, the LFBD Roofing team! ⚫️🟡

Good evening everyone!

We here at the LFBD Roofing team hope you are all having a great weekend so far!

Today we wrapped up a lovely job for a client in durrington, who had reported multiple leaks in his roof causing damp in his property and rot in the floorboards inside his loft.

We stripped off all of the tiles, felt, and batten on the roof. This was only necessary on the front, back, and part of the side, as he’d recently had an extension and the felt work was adequate enough on there already.

On stripping, we found a large number of holes in his felt, so it is safe to say he was definitely due a new roof!

We covered the roof in new felt and batten, and installed a bonding gutter half way down the returning side to allow our new tiles to bond up to a differently gauged tile.

We bumped all of our tiles up a ladder, straight onto the roof, and continued to tile the entire surface before cutting up the hips and valleys which needed doing.

We marked out the front and side with a marking stick, and pinged out vertical chalk lines on all of the battens to allow us to tile completely straight, keeping everything aesthetically perfect. This was unnecessary on the back however.

We finished off by running all of the hips and ridge, cutting a mitre where they meet, and pugging everything up to conclude.

This was a lovely job start to finish, and our client was more than pleased!

We are always open to taking on workloads of all sizes, so please contact us if you require any assistance that is roofing related! We’re always happy to help!

Many thanks,

The LFBD Roofing team.
