The future for oil heating -

Since the Government announced it’s latest incentive for renewable energy, there has been a flurry of activity from the media and sadly some unscrupulous sales people with lots of misinformation about what’s actually happening.

To all of my customers, please read this and feel free to ask me any questions. It will cost about £500 to convert your boiler to fun on HVO, it is much greener than an air source heat pump and you don't need to get under floor heating or massive radiators. Perhaps most importantly, it actually works!

The liquid fuel heating industry has announced the second phase of its fossil fuel replacement demonstration as it commits to convert 200 homes and businesses across the UK from oil heating to HVO this winter.

• You’ll be working with Abacus Oil Experts Limited, a fast growing oil fired heating business based on the Cambridgeshire/Bedfordshire border. You will be given a full training leading to OFTEC qualification. Initially servicing domestic boilers will be your primary focus, however there is enormous opportunity to expand the role to include fault finding, breakdown repairs, new installations, heating system design, plumbing and electrical work. You will be fully supported in every aspect.

• You will need to follow instruction well, there are lots of ways to service a boiler, but ony one way to service it the Abacus Oil Experts way! You will take pride in your work, understand the customer is always right, have excellent communication skills, a positive mindset and love learning.

• You do not need experience for this role as we will give you all the training you need. You will need to be able to demonstrate an interest in mechanics/engineering and have the confidence to ask for help when you need it. You will be verbally fluent, and able to develop instant rapport with people, and be extremely likable.

• You must demonstrate professionalism, persistence and excellent face to face customer communication skills.

• You will be responsible for servicing oil fired boilers in the Cambridgeshire, Bedfordshire, Hertfordshire area, initially working with our head engineer, assisting them and learning how we expect the job to be done.

• We are looking for a reliable, dedicated and hard working individual who is great with customers and pays attention to detail.
