☀️ This heatwave has definitely got people talking… and we’re hearing nothing but positive feedback about our thermal blackout blinds! ☀️

Our blinds are made using a honeycomb pleated fabric with a foil-lined insulation layer inside, which helps keep the heat out and keeps your rooms cooler and more comfortable during these hot days. 🌡️

This one from last week nearly turned into a “maybe we leave this one…” 😅

Bay window job that, on first look, seemed straightforward… but once we had a proper look, we knew it wasn’t going to be that simple.

The ceiling needed work, trims had to come off, window handles needed changing — and we knew pulling everything back would probably open a can of worms… which it did.

To make things even more interesting, every angle and measurement was completely out of square, so nothing was lining up as it should.

Once we removed the trims on the ceiling, it revealed gaping holes, so I’m really glad we took the time to change and sort that properly rather than cutting corners.

We carefully stripped it back, reused and made good of the existing trims down the sides, sorted the ceiling, and most importantly got a solid fixing straight into the joists.

It definitely took a lot longer than expected, but we stuck with it and got everything re-trimmed, lined up, and finished properly.

End result… spot on 👌

This was a large floor-to-ceiling Venetian blind, and as you can imagine, it’s very heavy — not something you’d want to take on without the right experience.

To make sure it’s fitted properly and built to last, we drilled into the steel lintel to get the best possible fixing. It’s little details like this that make a big difference over time.

All fitted nice and securely, running smoothly, and ready to last for many years to come.

Another job from today 👌

We kitted out this home with five of our blackout systems, all fitted behind Venetian blinds for a really clean and tidy finish.
As you can see from the photos, even with the Venetian blinds fully closed, you still get quite a bit of light coming through, especially in the summer.

By adding the blackout system behind, it makes a huge difference. When it’s down, the room goes properly dark, but you still keep the look and flexibility of the Venetian blinds during the day.

They’re also thermal lined, so they help keep rooms cooler in the summer and more comfortable all year round.

A great option if you want the best of both worlds.
