A bit of rain dodging this last week,but the plants and lawns really needed it after the May heatwave, a weeks rain followed by a weeks sun is ideal!💦💦🌞🌞
Have kept myself out of mischief mowing and edging with plenty of lawn treatments, Joe has been really busy with hedge and shrub trimming in Yealmpton,a massive thanks to Pete our neighbour who booked Joe for a huge job of trimming all of their boundary hedges!
The first area was overgrown by old man’s beard,it seems to be getting everywhere and is just so invasive
A great first effort by Joe has really tidied this area!🧤🧤

Well it’s been a strange week, after Mays heatwave we really needed rain, well we got it!💦💦
We are very lucky to have so many regular lawn customers who we visit every week or fortnightly,if we go out of sync it makes it pretty hard to catch up!
Two horrific wet days this week have put us back a lot, but a dry Saturday afternoon was just what we required, and have managed to catch up with most of the lawns we missed, thanks for your patience on this!
We are also still waiting on the correct conditions for treatments,the next week looks very favourable as a little rain and not too windy!
The pictures are from one of our regular ladies, Anthea in South Brent, one of the first large lawns we started tending to three years ago, every time we visit the garden has changed and another plant or shrub has come into bloom!
Anthea has nurtured this garden for over forty years it is truly amazing,we are very proud to be able to help her with the lawns!🧤💚

Lawn renovation is a patient journey!
May 4th we mowed tight this 600m2 lawn in Elburton, scarified, overseeded, preseed fertiliser, quilted with an organic compost, then covered with light fleece!
We used two different seeds, half of the lawn is in shade for most of the day, very damp, the other half full sun, so to try and help the lawn in the winter and summer used a mix of Fescue and Rye for each season to hopefully combat those tricky times and areas!
A lovely feeling today as we took the fleece off for the first time and gave it the first very light mow, 23 days after sowing!🧤🧤

Really pleased with Madeline’s lawn in Ivybridge,we gave it an early spring treatment a month ago, a good feed,liquid seaweed plus a bio stimulant,the sun and rain have helped it green and thicken up lovely!
Regular mowing and trimming on a high setting to encourage strong growth should keep Madeline’s lawn lush and green this summer!🧤

Rain and sun,perfect for new growth,we have given many of our regular customers lawns their first treatments of the year, the warmer damp weather ideal for controlling weeds, moss and supplying extra nutrients to feed and strengthen!
