My hospital in patient, orange tree, that never left. Is ready for the garden tomorrow. Pruned and trimmed. De bugged and spider webbed. Every year she spends inside she loses her Emerald green and waxy leaves. But she would never survive outside in winter. I’ll show her off again in a few weeks and you’ll see what a little bit of sun shine dose. If you have an orange tree at home pop them out side in the morning. You won’t regret it. 🥰

Who doesn’t love a double daffodil. So much more than your standard daffodil.

Incredibly romantic and beautiful, Double Daffodils resemble peonies or carnations more than classic daffodils with their packed rows of petals and all their frills. This group includes either daffodils with a doubled trumpet or daffodils with a double row of petals or even both. Many cultivars are sweetly fragrant. beautiful!

Still going strong! This was one of them gifts I give to people and they look at me like I’m mad. Nothing more than a small twig with nothing on it, and the words “trust me it will be beautiful!”. I love turning what most people would throw in the bin in to something they can be proud they have grown. It all starts from there. And the addiction for them begins. 🥰

The Chinese Lantern Plant (Physalis alkekengi) is a hardy, perennial (grows year after year) plant when grown in the UK. The season of interest first occurs when the plant produces light green fruit cases in August. These turn to a very attractive deep orange in September.

The fruit cases remain attractive if left on the plant for three or four weeks but if they are correctly harvested (see below) they can be dried and will then retain their colour and shape for several months.
