Finally got to finish this stunning loft conversion.
We started the prep in early January, whilst the customer was waiting for the cabinet makers.
Then came back to paint the cabinets before the floor went in then back in to finish off this week.
Lovely finish on the cabinets which were painted in Benjamin Moore scuff X

Sometimes it’s not the big makeovers, the little makeovers that can be just as transformative.
They don’t have to be expensive, they usually take a bit more time and effort though.
A lick of paint new worktop and a change of handles can make a world of difference! The floor hasn’t gone in yet either !
The old plastic covers on the built in sink unit had come away and brittle. You can chip this off with a scrapper or use a heat gun to loosen them and underneath is Mdf , prime it and paint it and Ta-da! A smart new cupboard ! 🥰

A lovely start to the new year a full loft conversion to decorate, in rich colours including built in wardrobes. But firstly the prep!
A new recruit to the team too! Our Seb! well a bit of an old hand actually, as he has helped out for a long time when I have needed an extra pair of hands, but is full time with me at the moment lovely having my son work with me.

Thank you Isle of Man, I never fail to have a great time no matter the weather !
Great to catch up with friends, eat fabulous food, dog walks and retail therapy !
whilst here, and when the weather was too bad to be out and about I did some decorating (of course)!
The job this visit was a bit of a freshen up to this tired hallway of a holiday let.
It was, one of those things that got put to the bottom of the list of things to get done when the flat was referbed , (don’t we all with our hall)!
But we shouldn’t, as this is the first impression of our home people see and sometimes that is all they see of our houses.
It is one of the hardest working space we have in our homes, other than the kitchen, what with deliveries, wet coats and shoes, pets , shopping, children , up and down stairs numerous times a day the list is endless, but we still think it isn’t an important space as we are just passing through.
The physical act of decorating a hall can be awkward with high, hard to access areas, let alone choosing a style. I have to say, it is my most requested job on house decorating due to this.
This hall was a real mish-mash of colours and gets lots of wear and tear as it also has a laundry space under the stairs too.
This hall was a simple make over that could be refreshed regularly and easily due to high traffic, the bluey greys and pinky browns and dirty white weren’t doing it justice.
So we neutralised it with Benjamin Moore, colour drenching the space winds breath , this has made it a bright warm welcoming space and a great backdrop for the addition of some seaside themed artwork.

This weeks makeover is on this tired 90’s detatched home.
A bit late in the year for exterior work but as we had a good week weather wise why not!
The original white front door and garage door have been painted in Benjamin Moore colour Black Jack as has the woodwork, the render has been painted in Zoffany colour half silver all mixed in Zinsser All Coat
Although if is a relatively small area to decorate there was a lot of cleaning of all the UPVC trim and prep to do on the woodwork before painting could start.
A few finishing touches to do but really pleased with the transformation

This week a quick makeover of a nursery from tired magnolia to a soft silver half dollar against the crisp chantilly lace woodwork.
I made over the tired melamine wardrobes too in Benjamin Moore chantilly lace in Scuffx.
A lovely colour choice for a small nursery, making a lovely back drop for all the bright accessories that are going to be put in there.
Now it’s all ready for the new arrival ❤️
