We also refinish wood floors. Here’s a pine church floor, boards repaired, stripped back and sealed with a semi-matt lacquer. Pictures are of after treatment and repair, before treatment, and board damage pre-repair.

Hallway carpet uplifted and floor brought up to the height of kitchen tiles using flooring grade plywood, then fully smoothed front to back to tie the levels in. All fitted in Karndean Van Gogh Washed Oak

Well this floor began as a complete mess. It was fitted with woodpecker Brecon, a floating vinyl tile with a click mechanism. Normally I do not like click systems, but this is stronger than others and the floor would have required massive amounts of work to fit a glue down product. It has been fitted under several skirtings and units to allow for movement. Even with this system, a lot of planing and sanding of uneven boards and levelling and floor repair had to be done before the floor could go down. Click lvt is not a diy product that can go down over anything, despite what some online retailers may try to tell you!
