Colour drenching 2 bedrooms in Earswick

Preparation is key, so we’ve been using our Mirka sanders to get the ceilings, walls and woodwork as smooth as possible before applying the finish.

Colour drenching is very much on trend at the moment, creating a seamless and cosy feel throughout the room by carrying the same colour across the walls, ceilings, and woodwork.

For these bedrooms, the clients chose colours from the Dulux Heritage range:
✨ DH Blossom in one bedroom
✨ Blue Ribbon in the other

The ceilings and walls were finished in Heritage Velvet Matt, with the woodwork coated in Heritage Eggshell for a beautiful, durable finish.

Whilst the sun is shining this bank holiday weekend, I thought I’d share an office we transformed a few weeks ago ☀️

The client wanted something vibrant and uplifting, and Dulux Kiwi Crush was the perfect choice. Using our current favourite finish — Dulux Heritage Velvet Matt — they carefully selected the feature walls to bring the colour to life, while keeping the two entrance walls lighter with Dulux Desert Wind for balance and warmth.

To complete the look, we painted the radiator in Kiwi Crush too, helping it blend seamlessly into the space.

Sometimes a simple decision to go bold with colour can completely change the feel of a room — creating a brighter, more energising environment for those long working days 💚

Following on from the great work by who insulated and plastered this conservatory roof, making it cooler in the summer and warmer in the winter, we stepped in to bring the finish to life.
We started with a mist coat on the ceiling before applying our trusted Dulux Ultra Matt for a smooth, flawless finish.
The client chose Chiltern White mixed into Dulux Heritage Velvet Matt, our go-to for a rich, durable look that really elevates the space.
All woodwork was finished in Scuff-X Satin, giving that crisp, clean white contrast, while updated sockets and light fittings help modernise the overall feel.
A bright, refreshed space ready to be enjoyed all year round.

Our first exterior project of the year completed this week in York at .

Booked in from last year, this property was more than ready for a revamp ahead of welcoming this year’s guests—and what a transformation it’s had.
We used Bradite Eggshell for a durable, high-quality finish, painting the doors in Inchyra Blue and the frames, sills, and window surrounds in Shaded White. The contrast between these two colours works beautifully and definitely caught people’s attention—we even had passersby asking for the colour details for their own homes 👌

Another half term and another set of corridors. A great effort from the team again to get this finished in time for the kids being back Monday. We are back in May to carry out the decorating works out on the Hall and then that’s us completed for this set of works.

✨ A Complete Staircase Makeover for One of Our Regular Clients ✨
This recent staircase transformation was a fantastic project to be part of — and like many rooms in this beautiful older home, it required far more preparation than most jobs we undertake.
With wallpaper stripped from the ceilings and walls, the surfaces underneath simply weren’t suitable to be painted or papered over. Proper preparation is everything in properties of this age. We carefully prepared the walls, applied Rola Nova to help even out the surfaces, and then installed Wallrock to all stripped areas.
This process created a firm, sound, and beautifully smooth base — giving both the ceiling and walls the perfect foundation for decorating.
Our client chose a subtle green tone to complement the wallpaper backing, paired with a soft off-white for the ceiling and woodwork. The result is fresh, elegant, and timeless.
The wallpaper hung beneath the dado rail truly finished the space off, adding depth and character to the staircase.
A carefully planned and expertly executed project — showcasing the amazing transformations we can achieve.
