After 20 + years working for myself in my own business, various business decisions and circumstances beyond my control have meant that i have, over the last two years been working part time for a local company as a "maintenance operative" This is a "posh" name for an odd job man! As it is only part time i decided to do "odd jobs" for people I know and over the last year or so it has steadily grow

n, it seems there is a market for this. So i have set myself up as "Barry Benson Handyman Services" hence this page. I have always taken a keen interest in DIY and property maintenance/improvement and over the years learnt skills by working with various tradesmen, plumbers, joiners, electricians etc and can turn my hand to most DIY jobs. I am happy to take on any job large or small, as the cliché says "no job too small"

As you will have probably gathered by now I don’t really get involved in social media these days for reasons best left unsaid.
However, while I have a moment I’d just like to wish all my customers, past and present a very happy Christmas and all good wishes for the new year, and thank you for your custom over the years, it is very much appreciated.

As you may or may not know, I’m officially an OAP now and a grandad, which I’m absolutely loving. As such I have now reduced my days down to 3 so that we can look after our granddaughter (and another grandchild on the way in may next year) on Fridays and who knows when the weather is nice maybe even get a bit of golf in on Thursdays.
