Maternity Cover Vacancy - Administrator

We are looking for an enthusiastic individual to join our friendly team as an administrator on a 12 month fixed term contract to provide support during a period of Maternity leave.

Hours of work: 37.5 hours per week worked between 9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday

Start date: We are looking for our new starter to join us in April 2026 (exact date to be agreed)

Location: Office -based in Huntington, York

Pay: £12.75 per hour

Holiday entitlement: 20 days per year plus bank holidays

This job presented an interesting challenge for our engineers Kieran and Ian this week.
No voids meant they had to find innovative ways to get their cables in whilst maintaining the quality finish of such a unique property fitted out with six Dahua UK and Ireland Smart Dual Illuminator Turret Cameras, they strike a great balance in performance and subtlety.
Thanks to Ian and Kieran the customer was extremely happy with the install!

Minster Alarms is a well-established, family run intruder and fire alarm company based in York. We are looking for an enthusiastic individual to join our friendly team as an administrator on a 12 month fixed term contract to provide support during a period of Maternity leave.

Responsibilities:

The responsibilities of this role include (but are not limited to):

Liaising with clients and engineers both on the phone and via email

Managing the engineering and surveyor diaries

Entering data into our customer databases

Providing administrative support to the wider team

Requirements

We are ideally looking for someone who has experience in an administrative role, and who has excellent attention to detail and strong IT skills

Alarm Engineer
We are looking for an engineer to join our friendly engineering team at Minster Alarms based in York.
Ideally you should have experience of working with intruder &/or fire alarms, CCTV systems or an electrical background.

The role is to carry out installations, services & rectify faults on Minster Alarms systems in York & around Yorkshire.

Hours of work 8.30 – 5pm Monday – Friday with approximately 1 night a week on call when fully trained.

Rate of pay £34K - £36K dependant on experience & ability.

This is a permanent full time position.

The team in the office got all festive today!

Today we welcomed our friends Brayton Belles to Wigginton today.

Both teams went into the game with a real look of determination about themselves, but the first half saw our girls really take the bull by the horns and put some fantastic passing play together.

The second half saw Brayton up their game and it clearly put Wiggy on the back foot, but our girls managed to just keep it together to take the game.

Girl of the Match went to Flo for her work rate, eagerness to find space and communication. We had a special mention for Peggy for some strong tackles and some great movement down the right wing.

A great game of football to watch.

Administrator

We are looking for an administrator to join our small friendly team at Minster Alarms office in Huntington in York near Monks Cross.

Ideally you should have a calm & friendly manner, excellent computer skills and the ability to work as part of a team.

The role is to co-ordinate all the Company’s activities, planning the diaries of engineers and surveyors and maintain our customer database.

Hours of work : 9am – 5pm Monday – Friday

Rate of Pay £21k rising to 25K when fully trained.

This is a permanent full time position.
