🇺🇸 125 Greenwich Street, New York

One of the tallest residential skyscrapers in Lower Manhattan, standing 278 metres high with 88 floors, 125 Greenwich Street was developed using the specially designed Aluprof MB-SE98 SG system.

For 125 Greenwich Street, Aluprof developed a unitized curtain wall system tailored to the specific requirements of the project. It enables fully glazed façades with glass fixed using structural glazing (SSG) technology, creating a clean and seamless exterior.

The rounded corners emphasize the skyscraper’s vertical geometry while providing panoramic views of New York.

➡️ MB-SE98 SG was engineered to accommodate the significant loads and movements characteristic of high-rise construction. The system’s horizontal thermal joint allows for movement of up to ±27.4 mm, enabling the façade to accommodate structural movement.

Aluprof MB-77HS — Engineering the Wall That Knows How to Disappear ↔️

A moving wall of glass shouldn't feel heavy in your hand. With MB-77HS, it doesn't.

MB-77HS is our lift-and-slide door system — built for openings where a standard sliding door runs out of strength. Turn the handle, and the leaf lifts a few millimetres clear of the track before it slides, cutting friction almost to zero. That's what lets a single panel weighing up to 600 kg, standing up to 3.2 m tall and 3.3 m wide, glide open with one hand and close without a sound.

Size isn't the trade-off it usually is, either. The HI version holds genuinely excellent thermal and acoustic performance — rare for a system built around this much glass. A barrier-free threshold means zero step between inside and outside. A slim central mullion keeps the frame nearly invisible, so it's the view that gets noticed, not the profile around it. Closed, concealed anti-burglary elements in the glazing frame do their job without ever showing. And for anyone who wants it, HS e-Power adds a concealed motor with smart obstacle detection — the whole wall opens itself, safely.

🏢 We spend most of our lives inside buildings, which is why the way they are designed truly matters.

Today, the construction industry accounts for around 40% of global energy consumption, uses 44% of all raw materials, and is responsible for up to 40–50% of greenhouse gas emissions. These figures clearly demonstrate how crucial design-stage decisions are and how significantly they influence a building’s entire life cycle.

🌱 That is why eco-design is becoming increasingly important. This holistic approach focuses on reducing resource consumption, incorporating recycled materials, and extending the service life of buildings.

Material selection plays a particularly important role in this process. Aluprof is implementing innovative Ultra Low Carbon solutions that reduce emissions to as little as 1.24 t CO₂e per tonne of aluminium produced. This is 12 times lower ❗️than the production of primary aluminium, which, according to the International Aluminium Institute, averaged 14.8 t CO₂e per tonne in 2023.

One of the things we love showing clients is how a wall can disappear in seconds.

At Hyundai Center Tbilisi, our partner Dio . დიო — one of Georgia’s leading aluminium fabricators — installed the ALUPROF MB-86 FOLD LINE HD folding door system across the showroom’s main entrance. What looks like a standard glass facade at rest becomes, in a matter of seconds, a fully open passage wide enough to drive a car straight out onto the forecourt.

The result is a system that’s as much about functional flexibility as it is about design language: full transparency and openness when you need it, full performance and insulation when you don’t.

🏡Circle Wood House is an example of architecture that blends seamlessly with its natural surroundings. Expansive glazing dissolves the boundary between the interior and the forest, filling the living spaces with natural light and creating a continuous connection with the landscape.

To bring this concept to life, the project features Aluprof aluminium systems. The main glazed façade and roof skylight were built using the MB-SR50N EFEKT semi-structural curtain wall system, which creates the appearance of a continuous glass surface with ultra-slim visible profiles.
