One thing I love about the month of December is the many discounts and freebies it comes with. As compared to the sham that is Black Friday, I’ve always been of the view that business owners and service providers are more genuine with their offers in this month particularly.
Last night, however, I had to rethink this view.
My house is roughly, a ten minutes walk from the nearest junction. This means if I’m heading to either Lapaz or Accra, I need to walk for about ten minutes before I get to the roadside to get a troski. And if I’m coming home from town, I need to do a ten minutes walk from the roadside to my house. There is the option of taking an Okada but I have vowed to not even consider that option unless it’s raining. I don’t see why I should patronize Okada riders when I have two perfectly good legs in excellent condition.
I got to the junction last night and just as I was bracing myself for the walk, one Okada rider crossed my path.
Okada rider to me: Madam yɛnkɔ erh
Me to Okada rider: daabi mɛnante
Okada rider : oh Madam, yɛnkɔ, ɛyɛ free oo. Mondays yɛ free. Monday bonanza. Falaaa kraa.
Me : 😳😳😳hwɛ. W’ahu bi da? Masa mɛnante wai.
I didn’t even wait for his comeback. I jejely packed myself to one corner and began the walk. This trap like this, when he hijacks you after you get to your location, no one’s going to be on your side even though he’s the one who said Monday bonanza.
Now unlike Mr. Okada, Damsel Painters’ annual discount offer is back on the table.
Last year, we painted some spaces for free, including the school in the video👇🏾👇🏾. This year, we’re doing it at half cost. Get any type of space painted, or wallpaper installed or woolen tiles fixed and pay just half of the total workmanship cost.
Yes. Falaaa like that. 50% off. No plenty talk.
Get in touch.
