On 20th March, 2019, last month GEP in collaboration with KERSL organised a meet-up dubbed Making sense of Skills, Health and Safety to:
1.Introduce STEM biased Ghanaians to professional development training that brings the industrial environment to the classroom by emphasizing practical training
2.Promote Health and Safety Awareness across all fields of work and emphasise the need for safety to remain pivotal in all aspects of work
3. Showcase the state of the art facilities in automation and mechatronics, established to provide hands on practical engineering technical-know-how in operating mechanical and electrical technologies to bridge the practical skills gap in Science and Engineering.
The over 40 participants were drawn from Volta River Authority, Association of Ghana Industries, Hotels and Some Construction, Packaging companies and Health Institutions with media men from Atinka TV, Citi FM, Graphic Ltd, Today Newspaper and Obonu FM.
