HOW LONG DOES EPOXY FLOOR LIFE LAST?
How long does epoxy floor life at last, is a question that most people, when they think of epoxy floor coatings want to know the answer to. If you have ever installed a floor coating, then chances are you know how long epoxy floor life can last. It is a long process, but it is very worth it in the end. You will find that epoxy coatings will last anywhere from ten years to more than twenty years, depending on different factors such as where the coating was installed, what materials were used, and how old your garage is.
There are some other factors that will affect how long epoxy floor coatings will last as well, such as how much traffic the area you are applying the coating to gets. Some types of coatings require different amounts of maintenance, while others don't require any at all. Some epoxy floor coatings are self-leveling, which means that the top layer goes on first, and then the bottom layer comes on last.
So how long does epoxy floor life last? In general, it depends upon the quality of the epoxy floor coatings that you purchase, how well it is applied, and how old your garage is. Of course, if the garage is new, then it will have a much longer lifespan than one that is several decades old. In the end, how long an epoxy floor will last will really depend upon you, the homeowner, and how you take care of the surface. If you do not keep the area clean at all times, then it will attract dirt more quickly, which will cause it to wear out much faster than older garage floors. If you do want to keep the surface clean at all times, then be sure to put mats down below the surface as well as use mild cleaners on the garage floor itself.
