回顧過去一年我們的工作有不少新突破, 包括創新的駐地營造方式， 過渡性房屋的社區涼亭設計得到了屋宇署的批文， 和舉辨過渡性房屋的設計論壇等。 每個工作都為社區推進, 務求改善基層生活環境。
期待馬年的來臨，與大家一起努力繼續為有需要的社群服務!

Dear Friends of DOMAT,

The Year of the Horse is approaching—wishing everyone swift success in all your endeavors!

Looking back over the past year, our work has made many new breakthroughs, including pioneering an in‑situ engagement approach, obtaining Buildings Department approval for the community pavilion in the transitional housing project, and organizing a design forum on transitional housing. Each of these efforts seek to advance the build environment and aims to improve the living environment for grassroots communities.

As we welcome the Year of the Horse, we look forward to continuing our work together and serving communities in need.

It was not just place-making.
It's the value that we do it together, - therefore we care about the professional details, whether the lines are straight, whether there will be foot marks, whether it will need maintenance. The place becomes our home that we care about, because we construct it ourselves. The result is better than we imagine.
Thanks to our donor, HKLSS's social workers and Red Cross volunteers for assisting in this workshop in The Concordia Tsat Sing Kong transitional housing with the residents.
It is not about marketing the event. The success of the workshop is measured by observation: every participant deliberately documenting it.

Christmas and New Year Greetings from Domat!
Believe in transition, constructing bonds and growing together - Building Communities in Transitional Homes to organizing the Transitional Housing Symposium - this year has taken us deeper into working with residents, families and partners to create enduring architecture. We believe that by helping each other, we bring love to our community and to build for a stronger society.

Domat will be sharing in the coming weekend on "Taiwan-Hong Kong Architecture Exchange Forum"!

2025臺港建築交流論壇於11月23日上午在臺灣府儒考棚盛大舉辦，歡迎踴躍參加！
本次論壇係由臺港經濟文化合作策進會主辦，希望透過本次活動搭建香港與臺灣建築界的專業對話平台，推動兩地在建築設計、城市更新與文化再生領域的長期合作。並特別邀請三位專業的香港建築專業人士-張智強、馬潔怡、阮文韜擔任講座，臺灣則由何黛雯、陳冠帆、蔡佩烜主講。
本次論壇講題包括「記住我們的所在：從地方身份與資源看城市的成長」、「社區建築實踐：由構作至永續」、「建築快樂/快樂建築：Groundwork“軟空間”的主張」 、「島語敘事，生活世界的多重修復」、「建築與結構的重現與再生」、「不只保存，而是延續 —老屋新生的社會意義」，精彩可期！
論壇預計上午9時30分開始進場，10時正式開始，臺灣府儒考棚(臺中市西區府後街38-8號)為全臺唯一留存的考棚建築，見證城市教育與文化的演變，如今以再生之姿重現古蹟重建公共價值。正呼應本次論壇主題。
