Let me start with the basics: I am in love with the chores that others hate.
In university I completed a Masters Degree in Architecture however my search for organisation took me into Project Management, a wonderful job with the sole purpose of organising the life of a business going through a transition. This aside, it wasn’t until moving to Hong Kong and negotiating my way around a 400 sq ft a
partment that I realised my efficient living technique was not just a self management skill, it was a passion and need to install a sense of tranquility in my life. I began to realise that the less clutter I came across in my home, the less overwhelmed and clouded I felt in my mind. A person’s home is their safe place, their haven, their piece of calm after a long day – it is our most sacred possession and should provide each and every one of us with the safety and happiness that we deserve. Organisers are essentially here to help those of you who are too busy, too confused, too tired or too stressed to deal with your clutter. Getting help from an organiser is no different than getting help with any other task you are not able to do alone – accountant, personal trainer, child minder… we’re all here to lighten the load and to offer an objective, an experienced opinion and the motivation to help you move forward. A housekeeper can tidy away your stuff. Organising is more complex than that, it’s about helping you move past your own mental blocks and setting up a system so you won’t wind up where you started off. Professional organising, contrary to popular belief, isn’t about stuff (tangible – kitchen items, laundry, paperwork; temporal – todo lists, projects for work, appointments; cognitive – worries, hopes, plans), it’s about the person who owns or interacts with the stuff. Ultimately the essential feature is that an Organiser provides an ear to listen and someone who cares about the deeper, emotional level of how you would like your space and your future to be, that’s what makes us different and thats what will help to change your life.
