In 2012, Zeng and Zhang formed and headquartered Stylus Studio in Hong Kong as an interior architecture design firm focused on the design of boutique hotels, restaurants, bars, retail and hi-end residential and office spaces across Asia. The company name was inspired by the word "stylus" (which also relates to the word ‘style’ and comes from the Latin word stilus meaning: "a stake; a pointed instrument, used by the Romans, for writing upon wax tablets).
