At Tuen Mun’s On Ting Estate, HIR Studio has completed the renovation under the “幸福家族” (HAppy Family) project.
Drawing from the iconic House-shaped patterns found throughout the estate and its signature purplish-blue façades, we holistically integrated the “Home · On Ting” theme across façades, murals, public spaces, lobby interiors and wayfinding systems — strengthening residents’ sense of belonging.

At Tuen Mun’s On Ting Estate, HIR Studio has completed the renovation under the “幸福家族” (HAppy Family) project.
Drawing from the iconic House-shaped patterns found throughout the estate and its signature purplish-blue façades, we holistically integrated the “Home · On Ting” theme across façades, murals, public spaces, lobby interiors and wayfinding systems — strengthening residents’ sense of belonging.

At Ting Lung Plaza, we worked with a local illustrator to create a mural that celebrates Tuen Mun’s rich agricultural and fishery heritage. Whilst the ventilation corridor( 通風走廊) is now a warm “Home” themed rest area with thoughtful seating (complete with cane rests for the elderly) and power outlets for future community activities.
We’ve also reimagined the children’s playground as a “little village” with integrated greenery, upgraded fitness facilities for all ages, and added age-friendly details like distinctive house signage to make the estate more inclusive and welcoming.

A place we can truly call home. ❤️

城市中的電影色調
Tram, like an audience on its historic steel tracks, quietly observes the city’s day-and-night cinematic spectacles unfolding on streets. As it threads through the urban fabric, it archives the dazzling colours once captured in the classic films. The fleeting movie scenes that flicker past its windows are distilled into the tram’s enduring memory of the metropolis.
電車，像是一個觀眾，在路軌上漫遊，靜看這城市在街道上日夜上映的電影。他穿梭於鬧市之間，將經典電影裡的五光十色攝下，記錄車上。沿路浮現過的電影色調，流光掠影，色彩斑斕，便成為了他對這座城市的記憶。

香港很多經典的電影都曾經在電車上和軌道的沿路取景， 如《花樣年華》、《胭脂扣》、《無間道》、《月滿軒尼詩》、《阿飛正傳》、和《狂舞派》等。

我們擷取電影中的劇照，調配相應的顔色，讓每齣戲幻化成獨有的光譜。車廂裏面掛滿一幅幅飄逸的紗布，不同的顏色呼應着電車沿路不同電影的色調。布的輪廓被剪成電車的地圖，並將路線上的大車站展現出來，令人暗暗想起舊式車頭的站名捲布。
參觀者透過叮叮的車窗，再一次漫遊城市；我們對這些經典電影場面的熱愛，與眼前的城市疊加在一起 - 赫然看到阿飛裏的張曼玉與劉德華沿着路軌散步 - 就像我們腦海中幻想出來的虛擬實境。
今年我們與 BODW In the City 和香港設計中心合作，把我城獨有的色調融入電車的公共空間，微風中空間躍動；
這不僅是一趟電車旅程，更是一場穿梭光影、色彩與時光的城市遊歷。

Behind the ragged textured walls are two counselling rooms used for private therapy sessions. Partition between the two rooms can be folded aside to create a bigger room. Whilst the sturdy walls between the lounge and the rooms can actually be opened completely, in the event of massive gathering.
“ The essence of space, Ma, resides in the relationship between people, and that between people and objects—a sensitivity born from keen perception of details.” May the visitors breathe with the interiors and savour the emptiness.

This centre is composed of clean lines and multi-textured natural materials—stone, wood, sisal, organised in a minimalistic rhythm.
The open floor plan, equipped with movable walls and loose furniture, adapts to big classes as well as intimate counselling.
The hallway reminds the guests to be mentally prepared for a genuine pause. Natural flagstone pavers are laid on the floor, giving a touch of authenticity.

Polished stone table-top contrasts with the textured plaster counter at reception.
A timber-framed modern shoji screen stands at the back-drop.
Here shoes are taken off and stored beneath the staircase before one steps into the lounge area paved in timber planks.

《緣・圓》
不鏽鋼，回收塑膠

《緣・圓》坐落在 #啟德體育園。探究萬物的圓滿和無常。此藝術裝置由兩個不鏽鋼的螺旋結構組成，圓形相距2025毫米，軌跡交錯，象徵因緣份牽引的短暫相遇當中的繡曲線由520條彩弦編織而成，線條交疊，寓意人與人之間的牽連或疏離。這些彩弦由回收塑膠製成，原是啟德體育園興建時使用過的水馬，經過收集，切粒和擠壓等工藝再生為藝術品，展現了萬物可再新重用的 #環保意念。海天之間，光影搖曳，微風輕拂。因緣，或圓或散，就在這一剎那。

Circle, Cycle
Stainless Steel, Recycled Plastic

Locate at the , "Circle, Cycle" is an ode to the duality of completeness and impermanence in the universe. The art installation features two stainless steel spiral structures positioned 2025 millimetres apart, with their intertwined trajectories symbolising the transient moments of encounters. One of the spirals contains 520 colourful threads woven into intricate curves, representing the bonds and distances that exist in relationships. These threads are crafted from recycled plastic, originally used as road barriers during the construction of Kai Tak Sports Park. The creative process-from collection and shredding to extrusion-demonstrates the transformative journey of materials, showcasing how they can be repurposed in an endless cycle.

As light dances where the sea meets the sky, and the breeze gently caresses the shimmering threads, we are left to ponder: at this fleeting moment, are our paths parting or intersecting?

【蝴蝶邨的幸福蛻變】

屯門的蝴蝶邨，於1983年 落成, 是我們「幸福家族 • 繽fun屋邨計劃」首先進行翻新的一條公共屋邨。蝴蝶邨佔地廣闊，樓型獨特，若從高空俯瞰，「＞—＜」型平面有如蝴蝶展翅；我們把蝴蝶化為主題，融入外牆設計、壁畫、公共空間和整條邨的標誌系統 (signage system)，希望提高居民的歸屬感，將屋邨塑造成一個更溫馨的社區。

六座大樓的外牆設計，爲了方便老人家識別，每座都採用了和而不同的顏色，加深居民回家的感覺。

公園裏，小型足球場增添了活力的色彩；籃球場旁，增設了不同年齡層的健身設施；露天廣場中則有一個三角形的天幕。我們在其天花上繪製了一幅屯門地圖，彷彿從蝴蝶翱翔的視角，勾勒出區內大小不同的名勝，跟屋邨內的老街坊，娓娓道來屯門的歷史。

蝶翎樓的外牆上，畫上了一幅與居民互動的壁畫。平日看似礙眼的水喉和老鼠擋，經藝術轉化成樹幹和小樹屋。畫風幽默卻地道，展現了屋邨居民與大自然共存的願景。

中央廣場裏，早已荒廢的水池給重新鋪設，增加座椅，糅合主題特色和茂盛的植物：他將再度成爲蝴蝶邨的中心。

去年夏天，我們還舉辦了共同創作壁畫的活動；過百位街坊和地區組織，和我們一同為公園裏長長的白色矮牆，一邊交流，一邊畫出斑斕色彩的蝴蝶。

承蒙房屋局的邀請，我們透過這次翻新計劃，以最具備成本效益的設計，回應居民對於生活空間的要求。為十多條公共屋邨原本略見褪色的外牆和公共空間，添上一抹溫暖的色彩。

From Airside to TKO Plaza

又到聖誕！今年HIR Studio在將軍澳廣場安裝的聖誕樹裝置，將去年Airside雪球中的雪花再輪迴，Reuse砌成新的藝術品。整個裝置用了1000片本地回收及製作的六角形雪花片，利用傳統入榫工藝在本地安裝，拼砌出四米半高的環保聖誕樹 。

這個沉浸式藝術裝置不僅展現了溫暖的 塑雪聖誕樂園 ，也提醒人們關注廢物回收，將其轉化為有價值的再生資源。

再生雪花，下年又想飛去哪兒？
