NEW YEAR MESSAGE FROM SKSFF CEO NARELLE PAMUK
Today the start of a new year, our shelter doors are open 365 days a year. Everyday is the same to dogs, they are happy and we are proud of our beautiful Home of Stray Friends.
Survival of the past 15 years has always been a hardship, a financial struggle and an unimaginable stress-load and our future became fragile in April, 2021 but thankfully saved and made secure by compassionate and sincere donor support.
Myself and small core support team of dedicated volunteers work hard non stop to fundraise, we don’t just ask for donations without us doing voluntary hard work ourselves and physical fundraising.
Standing on the streets are long days selling new donated goods. We are so grateful for public support, buying goods and for small donations.
The people who respond to our posts for volunteer help, carrying heavy bags setting up and packing up, loading bags to and from Gogovans it takes alot of effort. The restaurants who accomodate our occasional storage, Siga Central & Ruby Tuesday.
The help we receive is so appreciated. 🙏🏼
Last year we responded and rescued many dogs…6 dogs having the most extreme and painful injuries.
Medical expenses were high and
healing was slow. The unexpected is always a financial burden on us and we needed to reach out for donor support from our followers.
Cashla (operation) Mac, Shing Valley, Mak Min, TKO and Will are now happy and healthy and their lives were worth saving. Thankyou for caring.
Shelter repairs are continual, maintenance and our project of new outer enclosures has commenced but continues relying on incoming donations.
Our desexing mission on the HK China Border is an ongoing committment, with two days per week feeding and monitoring. We have made a great improvement to the location and animal life. Donor pledges to the mission are so welcomed. We are happy to offer donors a site trip to see the benefit of their support. Whattsapp me 9199.2340
Education, education is the only way to a better future for all animals not just dogs. Our Hands On Programme we offer to visitors, schools and Corporate companies is beneficial and so successful bookings are neccessary.
Our hope is to achieve more adoptions this year of our puppies, adults and for our senior dogs to have homestay opportunities.
My motto going forward in 2022
Stability, Strength and Support!
Stay with us as we strive to help dogs to have a better life.
Our SKSFF 2022 Calendars delivery was delayed but our stock will arrive at our shelter tomorrow 2nd Jan. Apologies for delay.
