Ante Vrban’s buildings are wonders in glass and light – his design for the Kosovo Twin Towers are a perfect example of his modernist leanings – yet he always designs with the environment in mind, both in terms of a building’s surroundings and its inner workings. The young but extremely prolific architect has developed over 90 commercial and residential projects worldwide for high profile clients i

ncluding the Al Tajir family in Dubai, with developed projects in London, Paris, Madrid, Vienna, Munchen, Miami and New York. Born in Zagreb in 1980 to a factory-owner father and airline executive mother, Vrban started his first business at the young age of 19, while still a student. The company, called ARHITEKTONIKA, focused on interior architecture and interior design. Nobody who knew him well was surprised. Evan as a child in Zagreb, Vrban was obsessed with interiors, offering unsolicited advice to his parents friends and acquaintances, many of whom implemented his ideas to great success. It was just the beginning. Within a year of earning his masters degree from the University of Zagreb, Vrban with partner Mira Plese, a Civil Engineer, founded Onix Group. The firm is based in Zagreb with mobile offices wherever Vrban travels.
