Sunny Saturday in the company of one of my favorite epiphytic species. Anthurium gracile can be found across Central and South America as well as the Caribbean. 🌎

This species is self-pollinating and produces fruit clusters with bright red berries all by itself. A great eye-catcher in a tropical terrarium or, like in this case, in your living room. 🪴
It's still a rarity to find, but in recent years it's become more popular and affordable. I got mine from 🌿

I got this orchid in 2016, and it's been flowering at this time of the year ever since! 🌸

This is Laeliocattleya, also known as Lc., and it's a cross between Laelia and Cattleya cultivars, both originating from cloudy rainforests of Brazil and Colombia. 🌎🌿

This year Lc. rewarded me with seven stunning flowers! I only wish you could smell its splendid smell, too!

I remember reading houseplant books when I was a kid and drooling over Goeppertia makoyana (ex Calathea makoyana) This Brazil native is also known as peacock plant, no wonder why 🦚

Selenicereus grandiflorus is living by its name with astonishing one-night-only scented flowers. Can't wait to see it in bloom. It's an epiphytic cactus originating from the Caribbean, Mexico, and Central America.🌵

Few years ago finding Philodendron scandens 'Micans' was quite rare. It's interesting how plant trends have changed and made it possible for people to find rather rare plants for much more reasonable prices.

Plant 2 elatior patch growing freely in a south house garden.
This plant is really hardy and easy to care. Its that type of plant your grandma has in front of the door ( except you live in an extreme cold area 😅)

pictus or 'Silver pothos' is a specie in Araceae family, and its native to Bangladesh, Java, Sumatra, Malaysia and other parts and islands of SE Asia.
It has an interesting ability of up the tree bark, or a wall. Slide➡️ to see how it looks.
Epithet 'pictus' comes from latin which means painted.
