Five Years ⬤ of vision, building, and becoming
Last week we celebrated a special milestone: Equinox’s 5th anniversary ⬤ — and we chose Odoo as the place for the party, the very spot where the journey began.
Back in his university days, Bálint Bakos led the Odoo project 🟢 / Solar Decathlon team, where he first explored what it means to design and build with sustainability at the core. That student-driven challenge showed the transformative power of multidisciplinary teamwork ⬤ experimentation, and bold ideas — the same values that still shape Equinox today.
When Noémi and Bálint 🟢 decided to found Equinox, everything changed. They moved back from London to Hungary, started the office with just four members, and not long after welcomed their first child. From the very beginning, family and office grew together — and that unique bond has defined Equinox ever since.
Five years have now passed. In that time, Noémi and Bálint became parents 🟢 of two, while Equinox grew into a 30-strong practice ⬤. Together with our team, clients, and partners, we have delivered more than 50 projects 🟢across six countries — from zero-carbon homes ⬤ to large-scale consulting works — all guided by one vision: to make a sustainable built environment accessible to everyone.

Throughout our journey, Equinox has evolved into a community of great people who care 🟢 about each other and share values such as creativity, responsibility, and collaboration.
