Bory Castle, a remarkable testament to eternal love 😍

Bory Castle is the most popular tourist spot in my hometown, Székesfehérvár, as it is not only a beautiful piece of architecture, but also has a lovely backstory. It was designed and built by architect Jenő Bory and his students, and it commemorates his love for his wife, who was also an artist 😊

Nowadays it serves as a museum, full of the family's paintings, sculptures and poems, perfect for a nice afternoon visit 😍

Delicious lunch in beautiful environment - Városliget Café 😍

Városliget, or City Park is one of the most popular recreational spots in the Hungarian capital and for a very good reason. It has huge parks, playgrounds, a lake, a castle(!) and fantastic restaurants. A good example for that is Városliget Café, where I had the pleasure to show some great delicacies to Eunice and Don, who joined me coming from Boston 🇺🇸 We had beef sandwiches, langalló and rakott krumpli (layered potato), latter is a fantastic Hungarian dish with sausages and sour cream 😋

Can you make nokedli? Once you taste it, you'll definitely learn it 😁🇭🇺

I had this fantastic beef stew with nokedli and pickled onions for lunch a few days ago, and all I could think of was WOW, how great Hungarian cuisine is 🤩 Stew, or "pörkölt" is one of our most popular dishes, it can be made of almost every kind of meat, and the nokedli is just the perfect side for it. Nokedli is a kind of noodle and all you need to make it is flour, eggs, salt, water and oil 😊

One of the most prestigious areas of the Hungarian capital is definitely the Castle district with the Royal Palace, Matthias Church, Fisherman's Bastion and many more beautiful buildings all around you 😊 Laura and Shelly came from the USA 🇺🇸 with their husbands to experience Budapest and wow did we do that every possible way - we took a speedboat, a tuktuk and roamed all around on foot 🚤

Pork knuckle, a Hungarian delicacy you MUST try 😍😋🇭🇺

Even though it's not considered a high-quality piece of meat, pork knuckle is so DELICIOUS, you'll never forget the first encounter 😁 It has a big portion of fat in it, giving all the juices you need, while the lean parts are for the fantastic flavors 😋 Served with potatoes and veggies it is a meal you'll be craving for a very long time, and if it's accompanied with a bit of pálinka - now that's a match made in heaven 😍

Dive into the hidden world of Budapest ruinbars 🤩🍻

Visiting pubs in another country is always fun, but when it's as cool as a ruinbar in the Hungarian capital, it's even more fun 😁 These places were abandoned residential buildings in the inner districts, before they turned into a party hive with rustic, yet modern ambient 😍 Ever since the rise of the genre, Szimpla Kert has been a tourist favourite for its vibes and programmes, like the farmer's market on every Sunday 😊

Bring home sweet memories from Budapest 🇭🇺🍰🧁

As you walk along the city all day long on a fun tour with me, it's a great idea to fill up the tank at Művész Coffee House with some delicious cakes 😋 Amongst many-many yummy choices you can go for a lemon tart, cherry strudel, or the 2016 Cake of Hungary 'Green Gold of Őrség' 🤩 The environment is also a spectacle on its own, with the late 19th century interior, and the beautiful Andrássy Avenue as you walk out of the door ☺️
