Visited Martsa Studio & Art Garden (it's only open to visitors a few times per year - check their website when)

Translated from their website:

Hidden deep in Józsefváros, the garden has always been a place of creative life between its 120-year-old brick walls. First, a renowned stonemasonry company operated here, then sculptors, graphic artists, and painters set up shop. Today, the old studios still host an active artistic life, which visitors can gain a glimpse into.

The latest Kolodko mini called "Empire" shows Queen Elisabeth II on top of a submarine at Millenáris Park, as part of the Budapest Art Market exhibition

This is probably connected to The Beatles' "Yellow Submarine":

Examples:

• A marching band played the song during her Platinum Jubilee celebrations in 2022

• The Beatles were awarded MBEs (Member of the Order of the British Empire) by Queen Elizabeth in 1965

Previously, this statue adorned the façade of the house at Fazekas street 18 (which was demolished 50 years ago). Luckily, someone kept it safe on their balcony and eventually donated it to the 2nd district municipality. They've since restored and relocated it to Horvát street.

What's the deal with Chuck Norris and a Hungarian bridge?

Back in the day, the Ministry of Economy and Transport decided to spice things up with a two-round online vote to name the bridge. And guess what popped up as one of the favorites? You got it - Chuck Norris Bridge!

It made quite the splash on news sites - even American comedian Stephen Colbert caught wind of it and couldn't resist asking his fans to vote for Stephen Colbert bridge. He ended up winning the poll with 17 million votes which is 7 million more than Hungary’s entire population.

But hey, turns out there are rules even in the world of bridge-naming. According to Hungarian law, only dead Hungarian citizens get that honor, so in the end "Megyeri Bridge," a name suggested by an internet voter was chosen by the Geographical Names Committee. Why? Because it perfectly captures the link between Káposztásmegyer and Békásmegyer.

's latest mini statue pays homage to Chuck Norris and is chilling on the Pest side of Megyeri bridge, but not where the bike lane is—think southern side, instead.

Karlsson on the Roof or, as he is known in Swedish, Karlsson på taket, is a figure created by the Swedish writer Astrid Lindgren, who also created the beloved character Pippi Longstocking. Karlsson is a fictional figure who visits seven-year-old little brother in a Stockholm apartment at home in Vasastan.

There are three books about Karlsson and Little Brother: Karlsson on the Roof (1955), Karlsson on the Roof Flies Again (1962), and Karlsson on the Roof Sneaks Again (1968).

On Fjällgatan 44, you can witness the mini statue of a modernized Karlsson wearing VR goggles with a drone controller in his hands.
