This is Project Karta, our proposed solution for Jakarta's traffic congestion, pollution, and space efficiency. A simple app that aims to solve some of the most persistent problem in Indonesia's Capital.

A. Route Mapping :
Karta provides visual public transportation routes on a user friendly map display so users can easily choose and decide which mode of public transportations to take to reach their destination. Karta can display routes of Transjakarta, buses, trains, angkots and others.

B. Real Time Scheduling :
Karta can show schedules and/or estimated time of departure and arrival of Transjakarta, trains, buses and planes so users can conveniently put it on their own schedule. Always be on time. This feature may need some GPS or other tracking devices installed on those modes of transportation.

C. Space Availability :
Karta also can notify users about parking spot availability (inside malls or public parking lots), number of seats occupied on an oncoming Transjakarta buses, and even buy train/plane tickets. This feature may also need special sensor devices installed (on every Transjakarta bus for example) or cooperative collaboration with corresponding parties (such as malls or department stores with parking lots).

D. Fuel, Time, and Expense Efficiency Tracking :
Karta can calculate the most efficient way of commuting so you can save either fuel, time, money, or all of them within seconds. Users will be given alternatives of routes or transportation modes to reach their destination. These data will be displayed as a user friendly graphics and charts, and will be recorded in user's history so they can see how much they have been saving.

E. Instant Commuting :
Karta users can choose and call some supported modes of transport (such as taxis or ojeks) to their current position in collaboration with corresponding transportation companies. Karta also collaborates with e-commerce companies to provide their online shopping experience so Karta users can shop within their own houses without the need of going out at all.
