A little more from our day with the Taiwan Bamboo Society 臺灣竹會 🎋

During their visit to the studio, we sat down with our good friend Eli to continue a conversation around bamboo, natural materials, and the knowledge that comes from working closely with them.

We love these moments of connections, bringing different perspectives together, learning from one another, and growing a community around the materials we believe in.

We’re proud to share that Lotus Shala Wellness Facility has been featured on ArchDaily & Arquitectura 🏠🏭🏢 🌿

Located in Ubud, Bali, the Lotus Shala was designed as a sanctuary for yoga, retreats, and moments of presence, built entirely from bamboo, with arched beams that rise from the ground and weave into a single, unified shell. Set beside a river, the space opens fully to its surroundings, letting light, air, and water become part of the experience.

Seeing this project recognized by one of the most respected platforms in architecture is a reminder of why we build the way we do, with natural materials, and in dialogue with the landscape they belong to.

Grateful for the recognition, and for every hand that helped bring this one to life 🙏

At Belalu Bali Mini Cobra Villa moves like the serpent that inspired it expanding, sheltering, present.

Wrapped in glass and grounded by bamboo and hardwood, the villa blurs the line between inside and out, letting the jungle become part of everyday life. Its curved roofline, drawn from the cobra’s hood, shades the space while giving it a quiet, powerful identity.

Inside, the living area opens onto a wide terrace and a pool that seems to disappear into the forest canopy architecture as a way back to nature, and to yourself.

Last week we welcomed the Taiwan Bamboo Society 臺灣竹會 to the studio 🎋 a global community dedicated to researching, growing, and celebrating bamboo as a material for the future.

It was such a beautiful experience, we walked through the studio together, shared our process up close, and had a conversation on our philosophy and mission, exchanging knowledge and reflecting together on the beauty of working with natural materials like bamboo and rammed earth.

Thank you for crossing the world to reach Bali and share knowledge with us. Moments like this are what grow this global bamboo community 🌱

Pablo Luna Studio is hiring for two marketing positions as the practice grows.

The studio’s premise is that architecture builds a considered relationship between people and land. Both roles exist to hold and communicate that premise as the studio’s audience grows: a Marketing Director to set its position and represent it externally, and a Marketing Manager to sustain that position in practice, week by week, across projects.

Both roles are based in Bali, full-time and in-person. Details on each role, including requirements and how to apply, are at the link in bio.

Kaymana explores the relationship between architecture, nature, and the ocean. Inspired by the movement of waves, the project unfolds through organic pathways, tropical vegetation, and expressive bamboo structures that create a continuous journey through the landscape. Each villa embodies one of five elements, Air, Earth, Fire, Water, and Ether, creating distinct experiences while remaining connected by a shared architectural language.
