A Season of Growth. Happy Easter! 🥚🌿✨

Just as Easter celebrates rebirth, we see this season as the perfect time for fresh ideas to take root. Our "architectural egg" represents the potential within every project—a master plan waiting to bloom into a vibrant, living community.

Behind the scenes at Urban+, we are embracing our own period of transformation. We are evolving our approach and refining our vision, ensuring we meet global challenges with creativity and resilience. We are pushing ourselves to reach new heights, transforming from the inside out so we can better serve the cities and landscapes we love. 🏙️🌱

At the heart of our design is life itself. May this Easter bring you a sense of renewal, the joy of fresh starts, and the inspiration to grow toward your own new horizons.

Happy Easter from our family to yours! 🐣🙌

Every meaningful change begins with a thought.

Over the past two years, Urban+ has been involved in developing the Urban Design Guides for Singapore’s North–South Corridor (NSC) Surface Streets, a 21 km urban infrastructure corridor connecting roads, transport systems, buildings, green spaces, and communities. One of Singapore’s most complex and transformative infrastructure projects.

Attending the NSC event themed “A Community Appreciation Event”, we witnessed how individual intentions can grow into a collective conviction. From students and teachers to government officials and built environment professionals, people from many backgrounds share the same belief in the importance of a well-designed and well-governed public realm.

As our involvement in this project comes to a close, we hope the vision behind the NSC will continue to grow and come to fruition.

Huge thanks to the Urban+ team, former team members, and our collaborators and client for the trust, collaboration, and partnership throughout this journey.

New Year. New Stride. 🐎✨

As we enter the Year of the Horse, we are reflecting on what it means to move forward in a changing world. At Urban+, we believe that global challenges aren't just obstacles - they are the catalysts for better, more resilient design.

Behind the scenes, we are embracing our own internal evolution, sharpening our craft and refining our perspective. We are ready to gallop toward new heights, fueled by our deep passion for the harmony between built environment and the natural landscape. 🏙️🍃

But the best journeys are never taken alone. We are excited to continue our collaboration with you, creating spaces that inspire and endure.

May this year bring you the strength of the horse and the prosperity of a new dawn. 🧧

Happy Lunar New Year!

URBAN+ is hiring: Urban Designer / Senior Urban Designer

We are looking for Urban Designers and Senior Urban Designers to join URBAN+, working in collaboration with architecture, landscape, and computational design on projects in Indonesia and across the region.

At URBAN+, you don’t work in silos. Our projects are developed through an integrated and multidisciplinary approach, where ideas move across scales and disciplines, and where designers are encouraged to think systemically—not just execute tasks. You will be exposed early to complex decision-making, diverse project typologies, and collaborative design processes.

We operate with an international mindset while staying grounded in Southeast Asian realities. You will engage with global standards, international consultants, and broader urban discourse, while working on projects that are context-driven and regionally relevant. Beyond project delivery, we value curiosity, research, and critical thinking—creating space for exploration, competitions, and the development of new ideas, methods, and tools.

URBAN+ is a growing practice with a clear ambition. As the studio evolves, long-term team members have the opportunity to influence how we work, what we stand for, and how the practice grows. This role is suited for those who want not only to contribute to projects, but also to help shape a studio over time.

URBAN+ is not promising an easy path.
We are offering a meaningful one—for people who want to think deeply about cities, grow professionally, and take responsibility for shaping urban futures.

*Introducing the ‘Nusantara Sustainability Hub’: Net-Zero Future*

This project achieving Indonesia’s sustainability targets and net-zero emissions goal by 2060: the *Nusantara Sustainability Hub*. This collaborative initiative is designed to tackle future climate challenges by bringing together three vital institutions: the *Pertamina Sustainable Energy Center, NIURaD, and the Indonesian International Institute of Sustainability*. The Hub is strategically located in the Sub-WP 1B Government Core Area (KIPP) of IKN.

Our design for this Research and Higher Education Facility is physically inspired by its mission:
- The long connecting corridor is the architectural expression of partnership, providing seamless access and promoting vibrant collaboration between the four main research and workshop masses.
- Equipped with a Pertamina Gallery and connectivity to surrounding educational facilities to foster knowledge and innovation that contributes to a sustainable Nusantara.

More than just a facility, it’s an active edutown area, promoting a higher quality of life and knowledge sharing.

We are proud to share that URBAN+ has received two recognitions at the 9th SIP Planning Awards 2025:

The Bronze Award for Master Plan of Nusantara Capital City of Indonesia (Excellence in Planning >5000 Ha category).

A Special Mention for our design for the New Kharkhorum City .official , Mongolia (Excellence in Planning for Environmental Resiliency category).

New Kharkhorum is a vision for a city where innovation does not conquer nature but learns to speak its language. It is a city that does not sit on the land, but listens to it — responding to desert winds, fragile soils, and ancient valleys with humility and resilience.

This is not an all-at-once ambition, but a carefully staged undertaking, aligned with Mongolia’s national vision and environmental necessity. From the Green Frontier Wall to the Agromadic Nexus, each element is designed to secure ecological balance, cultural continuity, and adaptive prosperity.

The SIP Planning Awards, organised by the Singapore Institute of Planners , celebrates outstanding achievements in urban and regional planning across Asia and beyond.

This project was developed by URBAN+ in collaboration with CISTRI and BITA.

At the 9th SIP Planning Awards 2025, URBAN+ is honoured to receive two awards:

The Bronze Award for Master Plan of Nusantara Capital City of Indonesia (Excellence in Planning >5000 Ha category).

A Special Mention for New Kharkhorum City, Mongolia (Excellence in Planning for Environmental Resiliency category).

The Urban Design Development of Nusantara Capital City redefines what it means to plan a national capital in the 21st century: a Smart Forest City where civic identity, biodiversity, and modern governance are interwoven.

Guided by performance-based urbanism, the plan integrates forest preservation, biodiversity corridors, slope-sensitive street networks, and 10-minute transit accessibility. The vision translates Indonesia’s archipelagic diversity into a polycentric, biophilic urban form — a living capital for generations to come.

The SIP Planning Awards, organised by the Singapore Institute of Planners , celebrates outstanding achievements in urban and regional planning across Asia and beyond.

This project was developed by URBAN+ in collaboration with Bemaco Rekaprima and Bina Infra Antarnusa.
