CATPAX-1506 stands for the design of a catamaran passenger ferry with a length of 15 meters and a width of 6 meters.
The purpose of the CATPAX series is to provide affordable water transportation that complies with the latest safety regulations for people in urban and coastal areas.
KM.Otawar as the first passenger ferry built based on CATPAX-1506 is the first and smallest vessel to comply with the regulations of the Indonesian maritime transportation agency for high-speed passenger ships category A.
KM.Otawar was ordered by the Municipal of South Manokwari Regency and built by the Bayu Bahari Santosa Shipyard in Jakarta.
