Another challenging HDD project with our 100ton American Augers rig completed for Wills Bros in Johnstown this week. The project comprised of a 180m 3 way gravity install through cobbles and boulders with restricted access on the entry and exit pits. My size 8 boot will give you some scale of what we encountered. Installed to line and level, cctv surveyed and all is in order. Thanks to TA drilling for the mud products and Inrock for the excellent steering service. Next week we are back to production water wells.

38 x 120m geothermal wells at Queens University, Belfast

15 x large diameter dewatering wells with full pump and treatment systems on various sites in Dublin

175m rock HDD site investigation crossing in Meath

Due to expansion, Meehan Drilling are offering an immediate start for a Labourer / Assistant Driller. You must have a full clean driving licence, 1-2 years site experience, fluent English, valid safe pass and manual handling as a minimum. Rate negotiable depending on experience.

General Duties
- Lifting & manual handling
- Data logging, completion of daily reports
- Cleaning of the yard & shed
- Assist on site where needed
- Driving of company vehicles
- Follow strict company policy and procedure regarding H&S and quality
- ad hoc duties
-good time keeping

You must have a full clean C driving licence, plant, machinery, HGV experience ideally, fluent English, valid safe pass and manual handling as a minimum. Rate negotiable depending on experience.

General Duties & Conditions
- Assisting the drillers with ongoing operations
- Data logging, completion of daily reports and daily vehicle checks
- assisting with general house keeping
- loading and delivery of materials to sites
- follow company/site policy and procedures regarding H&S and quality
-good time keeping
- training provided to the right candidate interested in a career in the drilling industry - welding courses, truck mounted crane ticket, telehandler ticket, abrasive wheel trading etc.
- outdoor work at different locations through out the year

The Riddel Hall geothermal project is moving along nicely. We have installed steel casing in 26 out of the 38 wells. We have also commenced drilling the lower sections with our 16ton Hanjin. A total of 4750m of drilling on this project.

Meehan Drilling Ltd require a Technician for Borehole Pump Installation, Water Treatment Installation and Service. The position will be based in Co. Louth but travelling throughout the country will be required.

The ideal candidate would have proven experience in plumbing and electrical maintenance preferably on water borehole equipment.

The candidate will be trained and will work along side the manager of the pumping division.

Skills / Attributes:
A minimum of 1+ years experience within a similar industry.
