Working alongside with midlands east construction can sometimes mean carrying out two impressive new builds at the same time.
The 8tonne excavator with grab attachment is used here firstly to easily remove trees from the entrance , then the site is stripped of top soil , hardcore is spread for entrance and driveway , foundations are then marked out , dug , reinforces with mesh steel and poured with laser guidance .

Ok so a few pics off a sizeable groundworks project I’m currently involved in with ciaran McDonald and Ronan Collins from midlands east construction.

Together we had to make a site entrance off a busy road and carry out site clearance , earthworks drainage and foundations for an exciting build in balbriggan .

Ok , so we had the task of breaking out existing floors in a house located in skerries .

The space to operate was very limited and all the while we had to be mindful of traffic and pedestrians .

A micro digger was the only machine for the job and the material had to be moved by wheelbarrows .

Together with a good work ethic we managed to remove 4 grab lorry loads , wheel in 20tonne of hardcore , and pour 10 cubic metres of concrete .
The job took about 8 days to complete .

Ok so I was approached about creating a pond for a client who wanted to breed japanese ’koi’

The pond area is marked out .

The edge of the sod is cut with a spade to achieve a near border … sod is left aside to be utilised at the end .

The clay is removed and spread evenly around the perimeter.

The site has not got a level grade , so a laser determines where most of the spoil is to be used .
