Last week we bid a bittersweet farewell to two of our peers in Social prescribing, Andrea and Bernadette from the Gaoth Dobhair and Derryveagh Social Prescribing Services.
As they both head off to full time posts in their communities, we wish them luck and a massive go raibh maith agaibh for all the work they put into the continuous development of social prescribing, the support they gave to participants and all the work from the covid lock downs to the slaintecare implementation, the many out of hours calls and the unwavering support they gave to us as the Donegal Team of social prescribers. Although we all technically work alone, the support from peers like Andrea and Bernadette are what makes the Donegal team unique.
They will be very much missed.

The projects will continue to operate under the banner of the Northwest Gaeltacht Social Prescribing Service, with Linda from the Rosses and Fintown project now covering the area. You can contact her on 0870945245

The Rosses Play Matters Toy Library has a wide selection of toys available for loan, these include; educational toys, puzzles and board games (some in Gaelic), sensory toys, musical toys, toys for fine and gross motor skills.
