Today's YouTube video is one that I've been meaning to make for a long time and thank you to Kaisa for encouraging me to finally do so. This video shows how to create perfect lawn edges AND how to maintain them so that you don't have to recut them every year. The video link is in the comments below and on my YouTube channel, Gardening at Douentza. Have a great Sunday!

I've had difficulty propagating my protea - cuttings that never rot but also never grow roots. So I'm trying again with the X Stream hydro propagator, which purportedly gives results when other propagation methods fail. Wish me luck!

Today I am happy to share some beautiful collages made by Kaisa from photos she took this week in my garden. It's always lovely and surprising to see your own space through someone else's eyes! Kaisa was helping me in the garden today, amid the intermittent deluges and even a hail shower. She says that hail can be expected in Finland in June (her home) so it didn't slow her from doing fabulous work on my borders. Thank you, Kaisa.

Very changeable weather here. many irises were broken with the wind. The planting out of annuals continues although today it looks like it will happen in the rain - not my favourite!

Good morning from Douentza Garden where the weather is extremely changeable. As you can see from the photos, it is dull at the moment but bright sunshine and torrential downpours are intermittent. The garden is looking well at the moment with lots in flower and if you want to see more, don't forget about last Sunday's YouTube garden tour, which you can access in the comments below. I also include some greenhouse photos at the end.

I'm very glad I got my glasshouse sorted out before the rain began. It's the perfect place for sitting on a day like this. My Brasilian edelweis is looking fabulous at the moment, by the way.

The glasshouse is now summer-ready. As you may have seen from today's garden tour, the bubblewrap came down a few days ago and the glass was cleaned. Today I put all the plants back, taking the time for a little preening.
