ART Explorers Art Explorers, Art and Art Appreciation classes for children.

In a fun and non competitive environment we look at art through subjects specifically aimed to open a child's mind and stimulate awareness of the world around them. We explore areas such as art history, world art, iconic designs, art in literature and movies, street art, architecture and more! We use all mediums suitable for children for example, tempera paints, oil and chalk pastels, charcoal, w

ater colour, clay, and craft materials. The classes have an informal and friendly atmosphere and discussion of subjects is encouraged fairly.

'The Woman in Gold'
Gustav Klimt's portrait of Adele, created with gold leaf is the richest portrait ever painted. It took 3 years to complete, the children took 3 weeks to complete theirs..check out the wonderful results!

Our theme in the infant girls was the beautiful Christmas Ballet, The Nutcacker.
We listened to the music from The Dance of the Sugar plum Fairy, we then stained music sheets from the suite to make them look old.
Next we drew the Sugarplum Fairy Ballerina dancing, and added some sparkle to make her magical, fabulous work girls, well done! 💕

We copied a page from charlie and the chocolate factory and stained it to look old, then we drew the scene from the page...
