We finally finished our Lakehouse renovation near Bailieborough, County Cavan and it is now going up for sale! Alongside my regular work for customers, I usually have a little renovation of my own. The house lay abandoned for 12 years and finally it’s gotten the renovation it deserved.

Perched up high on the hillside on an acre of land it overlooks Skeagh Lake. The bungalow was redesigned by Original Irish Homes to accommodate 3 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms and a lovely open plan living space to sit and soak up the views. An ancient stream runs alongside the house and flows down to lake and the sound of water is just wonderful.

This is a happy post but also a sad one as I’ve loved this house and now it’s time to let it go. Many a day when my health was troubling me, I would go down there and come back feeling like the burden was lifted. Now it’s time to say goodbye and I know someone will be very lucky to live here.

It’s been a few years in the making since we bought it at auction. Then the design process, then planning permission and of course getting services onto the hillside was hard going and took time ( thanks Gerry Moyna). I've had the best team around me on this project, and without them, I couldn't do what I do.
