Here’s a gorgeous logo Natalie created for
Mandy made the design process very easy as she approached us with wonderful concept sketches as a starting point, and a clear outline of which styles of lettering she thought suited her business best.
🐦🐦 Inspired by one of Mandy’s favourite necklaces, the logo concept started with the idea of the two little birds. Sitting together on a branch the blue birds symbolise connection, growth, and nurturing support — the heart of play therapy.
🌳With the birds safely perched, the branch and leaves symbolise growth and new beginnings, while the cloud shape represents the safe space where play therapy takes place, and evokes a sense of imagination.
The words “play, learn, fly” reflect the journey children take through therapy:
Play – expressing themselves freely in a safe, creative space
Learn – developing understanding, confidence, and emotional awareness
Fly – growing in independence and resilience
Originally, the tagline was planned as “play, learn, heal”, but we replaced “heal” with “fly” as it fitted in perfectly with the two little birds and the growth in confidence and inner strength that children develop through play therapy.
☁️The soft cloud outline can be used separately as a playful design motif on business cards, leaflets, posters and other printed material. We created a circular version of the logo and a square one, to use as a social media profile picture.
