We've been trying to get some shoot taking for a while now, its tricky because everything is so fast moving in the studio with Ingrid on the wheel and me trying to get on the wheel, Georgina decorating and doing her thing with the buyers.

We always have exciting objects coming out of the kiln, however we did loss work the last few weeks due to some kiln issues, which is always hard. We are back on track now, thank god.

Our new series of will be instore next week, so we are excited about that. We are also working on a new lighting concept this year.

We are delighted to partner with to do our part to plant native trees in Ireland. Through our studio and shop, customers have the opportunity to had a native Irish tree planted.

When I returned to I planted a number of trees and they are doing great. After this I became passion about native Irish trees, so any opportunity to get more native Irish planted is the way we see it.

Ireland has struggled with its native tree population for about 800 years, it have never really ever been fixed. The government and certain other governmental organisations are not capable, but the people can help do it.

Some very cool shoots for our last week with . Ive been trying to get this in the diary for a while now. Its a mixture of the studio space that works very hard for us and a playful approach to and , pushing thinking into a different light. The back splashes arise from all the gestural brush work that makes the pieces and the objects just fall into place with the surrounding of the studio.

We want to welcome you into the studio environment more and show you how we work.

I’ve been working with clay about 25 years now.

Started off studying ceramics in Kilkenny and the Crawford College of Art Cork, then went on to the Royal College of Art in London.

After that I was in Glasgow for a while, before coming back and setting up the studio here in Donegal, Ireland.

Four years on, the shop and studio in Donegal is busy.

I’ve shown work in a few places over the years — the V&A, the Design Museum in London — and did residencies in China and Paris and Ireland.

The work itself is earthenware, a lot of loose mark-making, strong colours through the glazes.

Everything’s made in small batches. Nothing’s exactly the same.
