"This is to confirm that it became necessary for my wife Ruth and our family to move out of our house in Prince of Wales Terrace, Ballsbridge, Dublin 4 in order that a major work of reconstruction could be carried out on our property. This included a small extension at the rear of the property also all wiring and plumbing in the house to be replaced when reconstructed. The main contractor appointed by our Architect, Nuada MacEoin was Rock Construction Limited, Goatstown, Dublin and the main person on site being Brian O’Donoghue of that firm.

The main works carried out by Messrs Rock Construction Limited have been completed after ten months and I have been requested to give a letter of commendation to Messrs Rock Construction Limited in relation to the project which I am happy to do.

The work consisted of digging down underneath the house to enable piling and grouting to take place, this included the pouring of a considerable amount of concrete whichin turn was disrupted by the snow of late 2010 and early 2011. Notwithstanding the disruption caused by the elements Messrs Rock Construction didn’t allow this to hinder the eventual timescale which was adhered to and I have to say in retrospect that my wife and I are pleased with the quality and final finish of the work and are of the view that they are a company that could be recommended for any job of that nature.

"To Mr. Gary Donoghue and team many thanks.

It is with pleasure that we are providing a reference for Rock Construction and their team. In 2005/6 we embarked on a total refurbishment and extension of our house. It was a 9 month project and we can honestly say we were blessed with a good Contruction firm and a good Architect. We have heard so many challenging stories of either builder or architect or both!

In our case all rowed in the same direction to bring the project to fruition to our expectations. Rock were professional and practical all the way. Contributing good ideas as the project progressed yet helping us take care of our modest silver. Pockets of tension are inevitable with such projects. In our case they were rare and fairness ruled. Any issues subsequent to completion have always been attended to promptly and effectively. It is a credit to Rock Construction that 5 years later we continue to be respected as a valued client.
