It's ....."All About The Base"...it requires lots of work to achieve this level of Lawn....

The... lawn was laid last year
..we replaced all the Soil...with a..Special Soil Mix...full of microorganisms...to a depth of at least...25 cm....

The....Seed Mix is a specialist selection.......

To....keep it performing it is fed on a Seaweed Based Mix...at least 4 times from April to October ...Lawns are Hungary Beasts....

Weedkillers are ..Banned as they.. Damage the Soil Mix...

The Result speaks for itself....

Is it...Possible..to still have colour in the garden in the depths of the Winter...??

Well....

We planted this Daisy variety 15 months ago...

They ..flowered well last Winter

....But this year the Flower Display has been in one word "Superb"

This...Photo was Taken in the Middle of December...in a semi shaded north facing garden.......

If...constantly dead headed and fed appropriately... this can be the result..

Silver Birch always look good in the Winter..I took this photo in January to demonstrate how effective they are

The variety is Himalayan Birch or Betula Jacquemontii and is noted for its Distinctive Brilliant ... Winter White Peeling Bark that was used very resourcefully in the past for writing by being .....dried and sealed .

Interestingly it was also used to create the Sanskrit Scriptures.

With an extra little effort... Silver Birch can really light up the Winter Garden... In this case...The painted wooden surround at the Base and the Carefully Selected Stone.... Make for a High Impact even in the Depths Winter .
