CWPA is proud to support the Legend on the Bench su***de prevention initiative at Skerries Memorial Park.

Unveiled by former Republic of Ireland and Tottenham Hotspur legend Chris Hughton, the Mayor of Fingal County Council Tom O'Leary and CWPA senior executives Joseph Corr and Stephen Peppard, this simple but powerful project creates a space where people can pause, reflect and, importantly, find support if they need it.

Each bench includes a QR code linking directly to a range of mental health services — a quiet reminder that help is always there.

We were honoured to sponsor the bench, with Fingal County Council supporting its location, and to stand alongside the Dublin Tottenham Hotspur Supporters’ Club in bringing this initiative to life in Skerries.

At its heart is a message that matters: Someone is always listening.

Truly heartening to see the amazing progress and difference to people's lives

CWPA Celebrating International Women’s Day

Today we’re celebrating the talented women shaping projects, places and communities at CWPA.

🏠 Jyotsana discovered her love of architecture through a childhood fascination with drawing and designing buildings – a curiosity that grew into a career delivering projects across a range of sectors.

Sisters RĂłisĂn and BrĂa:

🏚️ Róisín followed a path into planning through her studies in Spatial Planning and now helps guide complex developments from concept to consent.

🏢 Bria, a recent planning graduate, represents the next generation of planners bringing fresh ideas and energy to the profession.

Architecture and planning shape how we live, move and connect with our communities. The profession needs diverse voices, perspectives and ideas to do that well.

To any young women considering a career in architecture, planning or design:

If you can see it, you can be it.

Happy International Women’s Day from all of us at CWPA.

Thinking about extending your home? Start with planning, not Pinterest.

One of the most common things we see is homeowners designing their dream extension before checking what is actually possible under planning regulations.

A good architect will help you look at:
• Planning permission requirements
• Site constraints and neighbouring properties
• Natural light and orientation
• Future flexibility of the space

Getting the planning strategy right at the start can save time, money and stress later.

If you're considering an extension or refurbishment, it’s worth getting professional advice early in the process.

We’re delighted to share that we have been shortlisted for the Building & Architect Awards 2026 in the House Extension Refurbishment category.

Our shortlisted project, Roseville Cottage, is a conservation-led refurbishment and extension of a rare 19th-century thatched cottage in Fingal.

Through considered restoration, reinstated thatch, breathable construction methods, and a discreet contemporary extension, the project secures the long-term future of this protected historic home while delivering a modern, energy-efficient family dwelling.

We are proud of the collaborative team effort that made this project possible and honoured to be shortlisted alongside nine other outstanding companies.

Thank you to our clients, consultants, experts and our own team who helped bring Roseville Cottage back to life.

We were honoured to welcome Minister for Transport Darragh O’Brien TD to officially turn the sod on the €250m Kilshane Energy Power Plant project in north Dublin with Fingal County Council Mayor Tom O’Leary, Kilshane Energy Founder & LCC Group Chairman Michael Loughran, Project Lead Brian McMullan and CWPA MD Planning Joe Corr.

This marks an exciting milestone in the transition to a more secure and resilient energy future for Ireland. CWPA has been proud to support the project from its earliest planning stages through to construction commencement, playing a key role in shaping this innovative energy infrastructure.

The new facility will have an output of up to 293 megawatts — enough to power approximately 300,000 homes. It represents a key element of Ireland’s strategy to strengthen energy security and provide flexible backup generation to support renewable energy sources.

Every successful planning application starts long before a drawing is submitted. Time spent understanding the site, policy, and local context early on usually saves months later.

At CWPA, we work with private homeowners, developers, and clients navigating complex planning situations. From early feasibility and pre-planning discussions to full planning applications and architectural design, we focus on clear advice, practical solutions, and designs that respond properly to their setting.

Much of our work comes from repeat clients and referrals—often from people who need calm guidance through a difficult or uncertain planning process.

We believe good outcomes come from understanding the site, the policy, and the people involved.
