Before and After, hall staircase reveal. What do you think? I’m live it! The stairs in this little period house have had a paint makeover. The old carpet was taken off and the wood was sanded to prepare for painting. The stairs are so sweet, handmade by a local craftsman in 1935, though they are quite steep! There are a few more stages for styling this hallway but for now a lick of dark green on the wood and a vintage print gallery wall will get it started. Eventually there will be a runner and next week a colour drench of “Sulking Room Pink” is going on the walls. I would love to hear your thoughts in the comments and if you would like to know what specific shade of dark green this is just ask!

My Friday Find is a stunning 18thc oak coffer. Built to last this piece would make that perfect characterful piece for your interior. It has the most beautiful aged patina and is a versatile practical piece of furniture. Use it as a bench, a window seat, for toys or blankets. I have a similar one, that I treasure, I use it for storing old wire and equipment and as a TV stand which helps make all that look a bit less ugly.

I am still dreaming of my Easter visit to the home of Helen and Jim Ede. It is my ultimate spring interior obsession. The space is a masterclass in styling, it’s a perfectly harmonious blend of art, antiques, and curated objects that feels both tranquil and incredibly exciting. Love it so much. If you’re in Cambridge and you love Art and Interiors you should definitely pop in.

I hope you had a lovely break. I certainly did with an inspiring Easter trip away to Cambridgeshire. I have so many pics I may as well make some reels. This one is mainly Cambridge, which was mobbed on Easter Monday. I have never seen it so bus!
Some of the museums which are not usually open on Mondays were open for that holiday to facilitate the visitors, which was fantastic! I still have yet to go punting though do I will have to come back. 🐣

Take a quick stroll around the streets of Norwich with me. I had a lovely time filling up on design inspiration. It’s a gorgeous city filled with colourful streets, pretty painted doors, beautiful shops and delicious food. I highly recommend a visit if you are in the area, especially around Elm Hill. I didn’t take nearly enough photos. I was too busy living in the moment.

Slim fit Storage
Are you in need of a gorgeous slim fit tall antique plum coloured pine cupboard? If so then this might be the perfect piece. If you were watching my stories at the week, you may have seen this cabinet before it was refurbished. It was in need of some tlc. It’s had some previous repairs but needed a new colour and wax . I left the little chipped handles, because it adds to the charm of this lovely cabinet. That could be something you might decide for yourself, also the little legs could be removed if you needed to do so. The more I look at it the more I love it. It’s so useful! The shelves can be removed. It would make an excellent bathroom cabinet or kitchen cabinet in an d house that needs age appropriate furniture. For the moment it’s up for sale on the website.
