There is a space shortage in Irish homes, most especially in high-demand city areas like Dublin. Bigger houses are expensive and not readily being built, while the cost and troubles involved in moving to a bigger house are not always bearable for the average family. As it is today, the space problem is ever-growing and finding room for a growing family can be a real challenge. Attic Conversions can be a cost-effective way of getting that much sought-after space. Read our blog below on Dormer attic conversions to learn more.

Our recent design for a contemporary apartment block on an underutilised corner site in North Dublin City has gone in for Pre-Planning Feedback. Our scheme creates a dominant corner development that holds the corner by rising up to a height that contextually relates to the four-storey Georgian housing across the street. The development respectively steps down to meet the existing two storey and single-storey residential development to each side. The use of modern brick detailing will hopefully add a lovely contemporary addition to this part of Dublin.

When extending for the first time you are allowed an exempt development size of 40 sqm to the rear of the property which means it will not require planning within certain conditions. As architects, we find sometimes it is not always needed to extend this large with a well-designed space. For more information around this exempted 40 sqm please read our blog below.

Building an extension is a very exciting project that a family can undertake. It’s a very appealing prospect because an extension affords you the add all those things you feel is lacking in your home in its present plan. Finally, all those ideas, desires, wants and needs can be incorporated if you...

The red Cladding is fully on now on our modern barn build. Really brings it all together and finishes on the inside are starting now. The barn is looking stunning with the emergence of the wildflowers in the front garden. The attached garage is awaiting its red roof cladding. Keep an eye over the coming weeks for some sneak peeks of the interior.
