Paschal Mahoney was commissioned by Quinnipiac University to write a paper for its award winning Famine Folio series. Entitled 'Grim Bastilles of Despair - The Poor Law Union Workhouses in Ireland' , the Folio is being launched in New York at 8pm this Friday , 28th October, at Glucksman Ireland House , 1 Washington Mews, 5th Ave.
In addition to this launch in New York , there will be a Dublin launch at The Little Museum of Dublin , St. Stephen's Green, on Wednesday , November 9th from 5.30 pm to 7.30 pm
